Remember, it is in the opinion of the referee. So it is what you say that counts. Secondly it's all about angles. The coaches are generally static, but you are moving and can always go left for a better view. So stick to your guns and enjoy your games. And look forward to the next game!

I don't stop for laces as these should be done before the game... However If I see someone has laces undone, I mention it to do them up at the next stoppage...

I generally start by asking the nominated ARs how many laws are the for off-sides. Just to judge their knowledge. If they answer, 'its all about active or inactive', I just ask for ball in our out. If they can answer correctly I ask them for ins and outs, off sides, stand over the goal line...
