I thought this great to see on the Dortmund v Liverpool game. I wasn't half laughing as the keeper thought he'd escaped a caution for dissent. Once he'd calmed down boom take that!!!

This is a great piece by Sam Wallace on the rescinded red card. It's interesting how the panel is made up. Two former players and one ex manager. You'd surely expect an ex referee on that commission to put some context on the decision...

No such thing as a "friendly" and that's why some referees get themselves into a pickle and difficult situations. It's one of the most valued lesson I learnt early on by having the friendly mentality. Treat every game the same and make sure you don't any special dispensation because it's a friendly.

I thought he got the decision right on both counts. No penalty and yellow for simulation. Costa left his trailing leg to establish contact with Tom Heaton. As usual Gary Neville is supporting the player, somethings's never change.
