Pre-season friendly.....

18.15 : arrived at ground
18.17 : player asks "You can't get sent off in a friendly can you?"
18.18 : same player "what would you do if i hit somebody?"
18:19 : same player " will you actually send the bookings in?"
18.20: same player "do we get points for a win in a friendly?"
18.21: same player " i haven't read the new bits will it make a difference?"

sigh :-(

Sometimes you just want to turn around and say, "are you really that *?!*?!?*! stupid?"

And then hope he doesn't take offence or feel insulted or abused, or you'd be off.

I swear in preseason games. Because I can.

I am now refereeing said same team Sunday for another pre-season friendly, should be interesting....... bear with......

I had an eventful pre-season game on Thursday which resulted in 4 red cards. Yes, FOUR! One for OFFINABUS (called me all sorts beginning with F and also called me the C word which isn't cheat) and then later on a whole bunch of them decided they would have a punch up where I clearly identified 3 of them. I'm a bit gutted I didn't get more because I know I lost a couple who threw sly punches.
