Obsessive Compulsive Football Lace Disorder......

mikedn

Referee/Mentor
My wife says i got OCFLD (Obsessive Compulsive Football Lace Disorder) when I re-thread my laces back into my boots after cleaning the laces cannot be twisted and they must cross left over right as they go through the eyelets. Don't know why I do it ...but once i laced up both boots different and i had to unthread one so it looked like the other..... she says i'm weird ..lol. what's your football OCD ?

The Referee Store
@mikedn - perfectly sensible. That not OCD, check your wife hasn't got a form herself. That is a more realistic possibility, than referees being weird.

Oh! she got OCSD (Obsessive compulsive soap disorder) Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Eastenders, Home and Away every night.

Certain things ALWAYS go in certain pockets. I've recently bought new shorts and it turns out, they don't have a back left pocket. Strongly considering making them warm-up shorts only and not giving them any game time as a result.

Ever since i was a player and still to this day my shirt goes on last, shorts, socks, boots all tied up and ready to go. Then my shirt, always did it as a player and continued it into refereeing.

For me its socks/shorts/shirt before i leave home all kitted up, got fed up getting to ground and changing rooms either non- existent, c*a*, or share with team..... so all i got to put on is me boots.

Also superstition wise i have used the same coin and whistle for every game i have ever done July 2012 to this day....

Tuck the shirt in? Not on your Nelly, never have, never will, not even if the give me an FA cup final(as if!).

Wow - you're lucky - the same coin still...? If I had 10 pence for every coin I've lost on the FOP, I'd have exactly the same as what I started with (actually, probably more, as its now the lowest value shiny coin in my coin dish that I take out with me for each match).
