    My comm set

Hi, where are you based in Aus. I am in Qld where it is quite common to use comms. At the top level, NPL and QPL 1st team, they are pretty much all done with them. Lower levels its common but not on every game.

    Referee Comms/Radio

Hey Guys, I am here to ask some advice about buying a set of referee radios/comms kit. I am undecided between a set like Reftalk2 but cheaper, refplanet.com/2015/03/17/ta-521-full-duplex-open-mic-radio-my-review/, or a set like BT Interphone, http://www.ebay.com/itm/201629355427. Does anyone...

    ''That's a yellow ref''

Some refs prevent this by pulling the yellow out early and holding it by their side. Just cant change your mind after you have done this.

Iceland vs Finland, 5th goal - When does goalie have control?

Hawkeye have been asked questions about video cameras and angles like this before. In past scenarios they have said it is impossible for the ball to have crossed the line when viewed from this kind of angle. http://www.proreferees.com/news-play-of-the-week-2016-week-23.php

    Longest Penalty... EVER

On the second attempt everyone should have realised this ref is going to be strict but they keep doing it. The keeper gets pulled up not once but twice about his line. Players had every warning this was how he is going to ref and still they did it. The second last where the keeper came of his...

    Leave field or not?

Just to add to everything else. With head injuries, call the coach immediately and make sure they leave the field. In mens, and kids, I have seen more than a few players say "i'm good" only to stand up and wobble about. Those extra few seconds walking to the touchline often give the players...

    Confrontation and Rectification

I have always been taught to make a triangle, between Ref and 2 ARs. Write everything down and don't get close enough to be hit either. AR1, guy on bench side, is told to try and prevent them from coming on, and if they do write some numbers down.

    Substitute interference before a goal

On that, the 16/17 LOTG have removed the old tripartite matrix for fouls. (player, on field, in play) This previously prevented a sub from committing DOGSO. Thus, and this is my own interpretation of the laws, a sub could commit a DOGSO foul. That being said, the LOTG only mention players when...

    LOTG QUIZ

Nice to see another kangaroo. FQ man myself, I had a chat to our state guy and he said it will specifically be on 16/17 laws. From what I understand from mates on National panels all the quizzes and stuff are already prepared cause NYL, WWL, HAL have to prep for their own seasons.

    LOTG QUIZ

Hey Guys, I am an Aussie ref and I am about to undergo a Level upgrade which involves a LOTG test. Normally I am great at them but I haven't had a chance to practise of the 2016/2017 laws as we just finished our season, using 2015/2016 laws. So does anyone know where I could find any quizzes...

    Referee Assessor/Inspector Equiptment

Hello Guys, I am just getting my qualification as a Referee Assessor/Inspector and was wondering where to find Notepads that are ruled on one side and contain a diagram of a football pitch on the other. If any one can think of any other gear an Assessor/Inspector might need please do mention...

    Horrible U13s match

Sometimes with that u13 to u14 age group you just need to pull them up and show a card. Being lenient will led to them thinking they can get away with their idiotic behavior.
