    Change of Name

So, pre-season game today and cautioned for a player for dissent. He gave me a name which didn't come across as fake. But then after the game, he comes into the changing room and says "so, do you want my real name then" Do I report the caution under the fake name or the real name? Or do I send...

    Game on Astro

Not a match incident as such but got a last minute pitch change today and we're on an astro pitch instead. There's a thin metal strip running above the pitch, if the ball hits it then it pretty much just stops. Would I be right in thinking that in this scenario we play on, as if it was a...

Could this 'threat' warrant a misconduct report?

So an Under 16 game today, away team on their final warning from the league but suprinsgly no problems at all from them. Nothing really happened but had to stop a few times due to verbals between H9 and A5. Anyway into the second half and H9 let his mouth go a bit to much and he went into the...

    'Offside' in Sunderland game

Bit of a strange one in the Spurs Sunderland game, this is a picture of when the player is flagged offside, the Sunderland goalkeeper was in the Spurs box and the spurs player scored but was flagged offside. Strange one but I'm not complaining

    Debating a misconduct report

So normally this type of thing wouldn't bother me, I've got pretty thick skin when it comes to taking crap off people but today it really grated on me and I'm unsure whether it would be petty to send a misconduct report. Basically, game (u17s) finished 3-3. The away team threw away a 3-1 lead...

    Getting the ball

So my game on Thursday night, player from the away side running towards goal about 30 yards and a home player jumps in two footed but plays the ball perfectly. Now I awarded a free kick for the way he went in but I think I may have bottled the red card. If he hadn't taken the ball so cleanly...

High foot in the Penalty Area

So in a game I was watching yesterday there was a high foot by a defender inside the penalty area and an indirect free kick was awarded to the attacking side. Is this the correct decision or should it have been a penalty?

    Good Evening

Long time lurker on the board, had an account for a while but I've only just thought to start posting and hopefully I'll stick around :) Just a bit of background on me, I'm currently a level 7 referee but I've just sent my application to go for promotion to 6 so will hopefully be doing that...
