I have had a very weird week as I found out one of my friends was head butted when working as AR in a lower league game. I have been waiting to find out the disciplinary but the match result and ban have not been announced yet.
Match abandoned at 0-0, some stitches, trip to hospital, police involved. The team does have previous but of course it was the last thing expected. The team are also top and a reverse decision will stop them getting automatic promotion.
I have had a few games in the same and similar leagues since. I've been telling my ARs that their individual safety comes first, then us as a team.
And I wanted to say the same thing here. Expect the unexpected. Look after yourselves.
