restart play with goal kick or throw in would have made more sense!

Obscure random football knowledge of the 2010s would be my mastermind specialist subject!

    Merseyside derby

Not sure I buy that, he's got a clear unobstructed view, I'm sure he's concentrating on the fact he's about to raise his flag but he'll still be following play. If nothing else just to make sure he raises it at the right time

    Merseyside derby

i see where you're coming from but i feel uneasy that, given the VAR had ample time to review it and at least one official has seen it clearly, it could be further reviewed after the game. in any case, the FA have said they're not reviewing it. it does make me wonder under which circumstances...

    Merseyside derby

yeah but in that instance no retrospective action was taken because the AR was looking at the foul and took no action here you have, at the very least, the AR having a clear unobstructed view of the incident, not sure on the refs angle. VAR had the opportunity to review it, obviously not sure...

i dont see how this is different from every other marginal call that could / should be a red but doesnt get given fro one reason or another. the one that springs to my mind immediately is callum mcmannaman for wigan v newcastle maybe 8 or 9 years ago.

    City v Arse

I'm not sure it can be a pen? Piadm sure but the restart is an idfk. Unless I'm mistaken in law Would certainly have liked the ref to speak to aguero but would also liked to have seen some sort of engagement from the AR towards aguero

How many competitive games have you guys reffed?

    New futsal DOGSO confusion

I think it is absolutely contradictory to paragraph 1. But ignoring that (!) I just read it that it means if the attacking team has an overload (2 v 1 or 3 v 2 etc.) not inc the keeper then any foul would be considered dogso. I think I've no experience at all with futsal mind!

Substitutions for both teams at the same time possible?

since you need to manage one off / one on, you can only do one set of subs at a time. so do one team then the other.

WSL - Chelsea v Man City

tbh i think that's exactly what's happened. it looks like it hits white who's arms are outstretched. just one of those things, she'll have known she'd dropped a clanger from the reaction but if the ARs cant tell either (likely with the ball travelling at speed from side on) then she's no where to go

    Mass melee - fan footage

proper fun and games that! great shout with those reds, could have had more cards (black 4 and the red player he was grappling with) but unlikely you've seen that. but you got the 2 main ones!

grief, what a story. there's certainly nothing a player can say to him will get under his skin!

    Pre-match chat with players

i really liked what he said and how he said it...however i'd never do anything like that at any level of the game. a quick 10/15 seconds with the skipper before the toss and 30 seconds with secretary / managers as needed by league rules at teemsheet exchnage is enough for me

Stopping play for replacing boots, shinguards, tying laces according to law?

it's at your discretion. there's nothing in law about it just be concious of player reaction if you do or dont allow it!
