Played open age football since I was 17, became a referee in September 2013 after deciding that the pitches in my new area (I moved here from the New Forest) were not good enough and I wanted to spend more time with my family rather than meeting at a pub at 12:30, leaving at 13:00, getting to the ground at 14:00, playing 90 minutes on a cabbage patch and then getting home just before 17:00 and still in need of a shower!
