Don't let it bother you, some coaches, players and supporters appear to get off on being dic#s.
I had an u17 player threaten me at full time whistle before Xmas and I've found out he's received a 180 day ban. Morale of the story, always put EA reports in.
The local FA and RDO are in the same office. The RDO rarely gets involved in anything, he's like an enigma that's impossible to get in touch with. He usually gets an assistant to keep on top of things. They are aware as I complained to one of them when I refereed a local disability tournament on...

I had a charming individual call me a "c@nt" 3 times in a minute at full time yesterday he also threatened to "do me in" which was laughable but added to the EA report.

I had this very same scenario on Sunday. I was in the middle striker went through, CAR flag up me in agreement and whistle. Attacking team coach going mental and then gets his phone out to check LOTG then starts shouting it was 2nd faze. I had to go over to the bench to calm him down and explain.
I wish we the audience could hear the comms because I don't trust the commentators to decipher and accurately tell us what's actually going on. Efan Eloku and Danny Murphy are especially terrible at it.
