England U19s to replay end of qualifier after refereeing error

What I thought the replayed penalty was down to is because the correct restart in law would have meant another penalty. And time must always be extended to allow the taking of a penalty kick, so it had to be played? The whole thing has been a total disaster

    Funny comeback remarks

Mentioned this before: First semi-pro line appointment, spectator behind me tanked up on alcohol been berating me first few minutes and goes "This is the problem wi' SFA, our linos dinnae even huv pubic hair!" It took all of my strength to resist turning around and saying "It's just shaved, your...

Abandonment or Final Whistle? (Plus referee assault)

That's poor. You've been assaulted for the love of God, hope you keep on going. Don't fret about controlling animals like that - you clearly tried your utmost best and sometimes that's still not enough for the Sunday thugs out there.

Junior/Youth High kick and parent entering field of play

Had a word saying there's no need for it, will be including in my sending off report both the goading and the player's reaction (two fingered salute, telling the bench to "shut their f****** a***s up").

Junior/Youth High kick and parent entering field of play

Sorry, unclear here: the parent was shouting and swearing at those affiliated with the white team, not myself. It may have been towards the whites players or may have been towards the whites coaches. I personally wasn't subjected to the most abuse, that was delivered between the two teams to...

Junior/Youth High kick and parent entering field of play

Absolute nightmare game today. Ball is high in the air definitely a header required whites player jumps up and studs a reds player in midair in the ribs. It was a red card in my opinion but I don't know whether it was violent conduct or serious foul play because the ball was near to the two...

    3G Pitches

So many reasons why I prefer 3G: Clean boots Pitches usually bigger = less tackles flying in, mouthy parents/coaches further away Less/no chance of game being called off due to weather Usually means a big pavilion with nice clean, roomy, warm changing facilities and a shower Said pavilion will...

Livingstone vs hearts horror Kung fu kick

Apologies for taking up the whole screen there  I was at the game on the opposite side to the camera. Worst tackle I've seen at a game and I feared for Jason Talbot's safety when only a yellow was shown. The Hearts fans were incensed. Edit: Just realised the card isn't included in the...

    The Old Firm

Would be a closer game certainly... Celtic lead 2-0 at HT and Thomson made an error in giving a free kick with Celtic forward Griffiths through on goal had advantage been played

    Straight Red

Another question: when you've sent someone off for a second caution how is it reported? Do you report all three cards, report the two yellows or report the yellow and the red?
