Does anyone have a copy of the Promotion Criteria for 7-6? With the new County FA website layouts, I can't seem to find any useful information

Do you know if acting as an AR is required by all counties?

The baseline for the promotion criteria is set by the FA and published in the Regulations for the Control and Registration of Referees document. As I understand it counties can add additional criteria but cannot change any of those listed below ...

Promotion from Level 6 to Level 5 and Level 7 to Level 6 shall be based on a Referee’s practical performance on the field of play and other criteria as follows:
- Observer reports by Observers on a minimum of three games.
- Club marks from competitions over the age of 16 years over a minimum of 20 games (a minimum of 70% must be in open age competitions) officiated in as a Referee in the marking season.
- A Level 6 Referee wishing to be considered for future promotion to Level 4 must complete at least 5 games as an Assistant Referee.
- Attending at least one promotion in-service training event.
- Successful completion of a written examination as determined by The Association.

Interesting. AR not a requirement in Surrey (though I have done more than 5 as a 7-6 candidate this year anyway)

I've seen some refereeing performances so bad that even 10 pints in the bar after wouldn't have done much to dull the memory ... :)

I'll post the highlight of the Derby Rusty.... Certainly perks me up after a bad day..... :) 1 pint, 20 pints, its a real tonic!!
