What would people do at half time, say its a close score maybe 1-3 goals difference, there has been stoppages and the game is heating up around 45 minutes, what would you do?
The laws not really their to stop people taking the kick that way though its so you can't run halfway into the half and receive the ball from kick off. I rarely pull it up.
Well the team would likely not know unless the coach had a stop watch himself, but I completely agree, why stop the game just for your convenience when it doesn't suit (pretty one sided) one whole team. It seems weird you'd get this advice.
The normal guy who runs the refs wasn't there so I was told to not use cards by the person who had stepped in. I'm not sure the reasoning and I don't agree with it but I got on with my job.
I do not know about OFFINABUS but for VC and SFP I would have asked the coach to bring the player off...
So a Nottingham Forest player was just sent off for a second yellow after a goal for celebrating with fans.
What are peoples thoughts on this law and have you ever seen it applied at grassroots?
I mean you could see a handful of shirt pretty clearly whether or not it was a foul is a different question, did look as though he pulled but looked like the player went down easily. However I agree that foul or not the offence was not a yellow card one but the dissent certainly was.
My first academy game, Scunthorpe vs Burton. I got put on U14 on my own, with no assistants of any form which I found strange. It turned out to be fine without them though as not only the coaches but the players are generally very honest.
I was also told that cards aren't used in academy games...
Yeah, it's tough to call that in the moment, but probably should be spotted by top officials.
I'm not sure what people thought about the offside that was given either where Mane was clearly onside but Sturridge wasn't the offside was given even though it seemed as though Sturridge didn't get...
The away team manager sounds pleasant, which is common actually. It seems you would be more suited to do a few junior games before doing adults. It can be tough and intimidating for anyone starting out and it can contribute to the decisions you make. I also recommend you get your observer to...
It's not terrible to have cheap flags for a weekend I wouldn't think, so I wouldn't get hell bent on getting them specifically for this weekend as the cheap ones will do. From experience I know all the cheap flags are is a mild inconvenience.
As a Liverpool fan the Vorm challenge certainly looked dodgy at first but in the replay I personally thought it looked an alright challenge. With the penalty that is given I thought the contact happened above the line, which I think constitutes as inside the box?
I wasn't aware of the new wording for handball, but if anyone needs a quick explanation on any new laws here is a dumbed down version that Sky Sports have produced with the help of Dermot Gallagher...

Thoughts?
Certainly dissent after the goal but I think it should have been a foul leading up to the goal.
I think short term Ashley Williams will perform better than John Stones as well, plus the leadership and stability he will bring to the squad. Stones has a lot to learn.
