I think it all depends on what you want to referee for. If you're just in it to take part and enjoy it then your way is the right way. If you're in it to progress/get promoted then my comment works best.
I do want to respond to these but feel it appropriate to wait till I get my report.
But as calling me a teapot isn't related to the game I feel I should point out 2 things.
1. I'm 6-4 I'm not short.
2. As for tea.....if it's not Yorkshire it's ****e
I got told the other week that I needed to get out of the centre circle by one of the players towards the end of the game....The next day I could barely walk.
Players like to throw that one out at you. Don't let them convince you unles you know you're doing it
I must add that I'm not planning on popping steroids! I couldn't see any reason that referees would be tested specifically but surely they are to keep it a clean game.
I was thinking the other day about the Olympics and the whole Russia situation.
Are referees held to the same standards as the players? Are they drug tested?
Right this isn't the place to argue about the rights and wrongs of the law change. This is to share stories from games at our various levels.
- Did the players know about the law change?
- If they didn't did they accept it?

We're in charge of administering a game in the way we are told to. The LOTG are our Employee Handbook.
I believe they should have left it, and just removed the suspension.
