    We’ve all been there!

Can’t say I’ve ever been this public about it, but I’m sure a little piece of me has died inside on occasion.

    Ref Six - Watch

I recently changed from Apple Watch to Garmin (Fenix 6), using Refsix on both. I did initially struggle changing from touchscreen to buttons, but like most tech, after a handful of games I started to become more comfortable with it. The app is now available on the Garmin iConnect app, so doesn't...

    For Sale Apple Watch Series 4 - 44mm GPS/WiFi/Cellular - £170

Evening, Hope this is ok to post, I am looking to sell my trusty Apple Watch as I have now moved over to Garmin and no longer require it. I was planning on putting it on another well-known auction site, but thought I'd see if anyone here would be interested. It's approximately eighteen months...

3rd Game on the Line, Self Doubt After Games

Couldn't agree more, I don't think any of us like realising we've got a decision or an action wrong, however I'd also like to think that none of us are too big-headed to think we never make mistakes. I have in the past spent far longer than I care to imagine mentally replaying situations to find...

    Cautioned for scoring!

I'm with the ref on this one, although I'm not sure how well the booking would go down on a miserable Sunday morning!

    Junior Premier League

I covered an U13's fixture last season in the JPL, and that too was 4 x 20mins, with 8min sin bins for dissent.

Mind if I ask how you sorted this, I've never been able to log in, just keeps saying my password doesn't match or I don't have an account yet.

    DOGSO in the penalty area

As far as I'm aware, it's now only a yellow if a genuine attempt is made to challenge for the ball. So shirt pulling would still be red, tripping would depend on whether it was in the course or a challenge, but cynical trip would be red.

Where do you stand on managers approaching you

That then allows a subjective opinion of the "confront" wording within the law, as this is defined as having hostile or argumentative intent. If at the end of the game, a manager enters the field of play to shake your hand, as often happens in grassroots, and chooses to ask about a certain...

    Extraordinary Incident Report?

After a bit of advice following this afternoons match, for a bit of context it was youth football (U17's) in a competitive league, between two local teams with a fair history between them. It was close game throughout, no major discipline issues other than a couple of yellows. With the score...

    Boots

I've had to change boots midway through this season, I originally bought a pair of astros and SG in my usual size, but quickly found them to be too tight, so changed to a size bigger. If you've had similar experience then I'd recommend the same, but it generally comes down to personal preference.

Correct, that player can't return, nor can they be substituted.

Lack of Respect for the Game

I very nearly used this on Sunday, U15's game where a substitute decided to cheer and laugh loudly (and sarcastically) when an opposition striker missed an open goal. The only thing that stopped the card coming out was the robust way his coach dealt with him before I could get there. I choose to...

Just referee'd my first ever game w/ mentor

As a relatively new ref myself, I've found keeping a running commentary in my head to help with things like corners and throw ins. Along the lines of red 9 won the header, blue 6 good tackle etc. I also tend to verbalise "blue throw" first, which gives me a second or two to work out which way I...
