I didn't watch BT sport what did he say?
Let's be honest I'm pretty sure Mike Dean won't be pleased with himself. He made himself look like he was best mates with Costa.
As everyone says.
In a game with nothing in it it's an easy one for an assessor (especially if he is sat on the half way line!) but also and easy one for you to make sure if spot on. You only have to do it once with each team (then after each goal - "Same as last time please :) ), and also...
I think Guzan has gone for this fairly.
He hasn't made himself big by putting his knee in like some goalkeepers do.
If it didn't go in it would be a foul and for me not a red card.
You're looking at the the premier league as a referee not as a fan in an entertaining fast game that has got the world paying Billions to watch it.
The referees still have to apply law correctly. Which they do. They just manage more and use their opinion.
They haven't turned their back on us...
He didn't try to play the ball. He watched it, turned as it connected with Benteke's and it hit the back of the net.
I think Andy Gray would call it a beauty.
Clubs and players can also see the difference.
When you step on your pitch on a Saturday you develop your own consistency, your own foul recognition, your own level of tolerance which in every case is different. Providing you are consistent you won't have any issues. You're not at Old Trafford...
All well and good having a personality, but when a captain is looking at his team mate who is injured with a broken leg and you say that you're opening a can of words and probably going to have to send him off for what he's about to say to you.
I'd deal with the fact's. Don't get into a...
After viewing it again. I have to say I was badly wrong. I only saw the first video which wasn't that clear.
On seeing it the referee was quick to point for a corner by the looks of it.
He goes in very hard with his trailing leg. As a referee in these situations the time is all ours. Now it's...
To keep it clear I think it was a great goal.
Too many people on here can't differentiate between pro-football and what they referee, then moan about the way that the Premier League is refereed.
Because he came in with a huge flag and it was midway through the first half and I was aware that I needed his support for the rest of the game. I didn't want to undermine him even though he had just undermined me.
It turns out he was wet behind the ears and a poor assistant referee.
All I can think is Sunday league, first red you could of left. Sound's like you wanted the red card more than both teams or the game needed it.
2nd sounds weird, doesn't sound like you managed the first caution well which left him pi$$ed off.
As referee's we aren't medical, best thing we can do is always air on the side of caution. We can always say " I was concerned for the players safety" than risk playing on whether right or wrong.
