Gersbach Tackle (Adelaide United v Sydney FC)

Depends what its said on his pre match and over the comms? But it's happened that quick and the assistants are quite far away and by the time he's walking off they're retreating as it's calmed down.

Yeah look at it from the referee's eyes. He's done well.

    Dissollusioned and confused by assessments?

You're right, I've re read them. They are just boring to read. Not to the point. My attention was lost on the opening sentence on most sections.

    Dissollusioned and confused by assessments?

Honestly. Get ready to work hard and if you get level 4 and have assessments like that you will be band E for assessors and clubs.

    Dissollusioned and confused by assessments?

And by just getting through games thinking you did well and not doing what @forest96 has listed will mean you stay as a good level 5. I don't agree with the wide part though. Penalty area's only for purpose. To sell something, if its they're playing thats the players area they want to be in...

    Dissollusioned and confused by assessments?

You're being too diplomatic for a Friday evening. ;) You don't need to get wide, it's dated advise. There is nothing in the 3 assessments that tell him how to get the 70's to a 73. Marking him down on positioning is only half a mark overall.

Sorry but you've seen too much there. Red card that will do!

    Dissollusioned and confused by assessments?

Really? If thats the case he's doing 5-4 candidates a disservice. I got bored reading it and the other two. Assessments need to be to the point, cut out the waffle and BS. This is what you did well, this is what you did sh1t, this is what you need to do to get a promotion / standard mark /...

    Dissollusioned and confused by assessments?

And we have there 3 poorly written assessments, but you have cost yourself a few marks. Need to go out with the mind set. This is my promotion and enforce the basics and do the mandatories. I'm not going to make a guess because what they've written some of it is total BS. If you don't get it...

Kicking a corner out ground in celebration of goal

Kicking a corner flag after scoring a goal.

Kicking a corner out ground in celebration of goal

Not necessarily. You would have to be there. If it was an expectation, he's broken it. Then yeah. If it's one of those flexible one's or he puts it back in then no. If its aggressive and provocative towards the opposition and causes a decent reaction then yeah.

Quick free kicks and random query

You know that's not what I meant. :p In an around the box, where they're likely to take a shot. By the time I get there, if they say to me can we have it quick because they see the goalie setting up his wall and want to chip him or just score an easy goal. Or make a pass to dumbfound the...

Quick free kicks and random query

In general, if they haven't taken a free kick by the time I've got there its not a quick free kick. As soon as I'm on the ball 99 times out of 100, where the other team are organising their defense / wall. It's on the whistle.

    Resigning from refereeing

Sorry to hear about your experience. Did you speak to anyone more experienced before you submitted your reports? I can only think they were weak that's why they appealed and got off? Call Marc! He's a great bloke. Have a break and come back stronger in the new year!

Ending the Game during promising attack

Never personally unless its a really bad injury or stoppage due to weather/floodlight failure.

Ending the Game during promising attack

This is not how you end a game. On a different day, a referee following this approach is likely to get assaulted.

Ending the Game during promising attack

Most leagues have 12 teams so that's 22 games. Stoppage time won't win a league and the referee is the sole time keeper after all. Last's weeks ref? I just don't want to end the game on a sour note and a bad memory before they fill in my club marks... If it's a cup I'd play on til the end of...

Ending the Game during promising attack

I'm suggesting you don't be so brash and risk creating a situation where you have a team pi55ed off with you.

Ending the Game during promising attack

You're taking a needles risk. How we manage things on a parks pitch is putting our own safety at risk sometimes if we are too black and white and don't manage the game.
