"OFFINABUS" or "delay that taxi" ...?

I think the player would have to go on some sort of educational course as well. Or at least should be made to!

Junior/Youth How not to handle a 6 second infringement

The only other way of handling it is, doing it correctly. I was just cutting the poor lad some slack. At least it will be in a SFA learning video for referee's next season. :D

Junior/Youth How not to handle a 6 second infringement

Well technically is it law if it's part of the 'Interpretation of the laws of the game and guidelines for referee's'? :p

"OFFINABUS" or "delay that taxi" ...?

In a similar vain what would you do if a white player called his white team mate monkey (non PC and very poor choice nickname perhaps). "Pass the ball to the Monkey"

Junior/Youth How not to handle a 6 second infringement

We're hinging on law and a caution. We wouldn't be talking about it and it wouldn't be all over facebook if it was managed differently. We wouldn't of even been aware of it.

"OFFINABUS" or "delay that taxi" ...?

Red card. So what if they're friend's. That language is racist.

    Law questions from yesterday's match

If your arms go up and are moved towards the ball it's deliberate handball.

    Law questions from yesterday's match

@CapnBloodbeard OP was refereeing to U16. So you're saying deliberately moving your arm and hands towards the ball isn't a deliberate handball?

    Law questions from yesterday's match

Did he deliberately move his hands towards the ball? Easy deliberate hand ball. What does age have to do with it? It is expected and the correct decision as handball. With the second what @SM say's.

    Dissent

Ha, fair enough. You did well not to take him trying to undermine you.

    Dissent

Sound's like you used the stepped approach? Did you bring in the captain to complete it before you cautioned him? He was trying to undermine you. With loud public dissent, imo it's either a caution or bypassing the first two steps and bringing the captain straight in. You have to be there really.

Replacement ref send off player 2 mins after coming on

That is nailed on SFP. Great call.

    Doh !!

I don't lose any integrity. It's not about courage, its about match control and expectations. You don't have to shudder anything, and it's not dangerous. It's safe. Being black and white with the laws is the dangerous bit. It's ball in and out of play, not a KMI.
  14. J

    Doh !!

@Darius you're missing my point. You're seeing too much.
  15. J

    Doh !!

All referee's have integrity. But in this situation you have more to lose then you have to gain.
  16. J

    Doh !!

But it is. Bring the game to a safe conclusion and manage the event. When you get to level 4 and above you have to give what is expected more than be black and white with the laws.
  17. J

    Doh !!

    It's still a suprise.
  18. J

    Doh !!

Both sets of players think its out though. One wants a GK and the other a corner. That's the decision which needs to be made.
  19. J

    Doh !!

Some referee's see too much. Goal kick / corner, no problems. :)
