WBA / MANU - Juan Mata

The Watford one it looks like the guy basically kicked the ball at him thinking it would get him into trouble, didn't really look to me like he was trying to play a pass. Middlesbrough player's mainly standing his ground (which he shouldn't do, of course, but there you go) and doesn't move his...

WBA / MANU - Juan Mata

Funnily enough, I'm not sure about the second one as a yellow, though first one all day long. Agree, too, that the one from Middlesbrough-Watford was fine and right to play on.

    Accrington Disallowed Goal

Just watched it several more times. You've got to give him something: he's created a moment of brilliant TV. It's addictive. It's mind-blowing. It's like coming home from work and seeing Mahut and Isner still going: something so extraordinarily unthinkable it totally boggles the brain. I'd love...

Alan Pardew talking utter tripe (for a change)

The best thing about that is where he says, "the subs weren't good enough" then immediately thinks - yep, I'll read his mind - "oops, shouldn't have said that, let's see if I can create a diversion and maybe blame the interviewer for something so the guys I sent on think it was him giving them...

    Accrington Disallowed Goal

I've long thought football time-keeping should borrow one or two things from rugby: taking it off field and having someone else calculating time to be added on, for example. And I don't see much of a problem with playing on till it goes out of play - in fact, that may be pretty exciting. The...

    Oh, the irony...

That's awesome. Looks perfectly legit to me. Love Mike Dean's exaggerated impression of it! (39.07 on the 2nd half tab)

    Oh, the irony...

Thanks. I'd be interested to see that. Full game should be available here - would you be able to remember/post the minute please? Cheers.

    Accrington Disallowed Goal

Only possible explanation: "Are you having a laugh, ref?" "Yeah."

    Deflected "pass-back" in Chelsea match

I honestly can't tell if you're joking or not. Can you do a winky or something please?

    Deflected "pass-back" in Chelsea match

I'm not sure why that matters. LOTG states: Nothing about slight deflections, nor in the interpretation. I wonder where the idea has come from?

    Deflected "pass-back" in Chelsea match

To me, a clear case of both referee and goalkeeper spacing out! ;)

    Southampton vs Chelsea

So we're saying that the following is okay? 1. I get 'fouled'. 2. The ref plays advantage 3. I foul someone. 4. It doesn't matter, 'cos the ref's playing advantage Sorry, that just doesn't make any sense to me.

    Fulham vs Middlesbrough DOGSO incident

Red for me. Nice to see all the differing opinions. Also, just before that there's a lovely shot of a sneaky little handball.

    Southampton vs Chelsea

Looks to me that the AR, rather than flagging for any sort of foul - in my opinion, there wasn't one - is flagging for the kick out by Kenedy. If that's the case, can't understand why he didn't keep it up. Or how Martin Atkinson is playing advantage, and for what exactly. Does seem like a bit...

    Guiseley vs Braintree

They've got headsets, yeah? I'd be like, linesman, put your flag up, that was a foul throw. Foul throw? That's right. Braintree player had a foot over the line. Turn it over. And on we go.

Bundesliga referee walks off the pitch

I think at grassroots this would be the way to do it, when it's generally just one person without any backup, and possibly 30+ people against us. We wouldn't quite have the leverage that the pros would.
