    Advantage - change of tack?

Talked to a senior ref and asked if anything new was going down. Said not that they'd heard, just "give it 3 or 4 seconds (max)" - which kind of surprised me. So I guess the first example wasn't that long after all...

    Miss timed tackle?

If you look closely...there's a bee on the pitch he's clearing away. Still a card. Can't VC against insects, surely?

    3rd Assessment (5-4)

Appreciate your comments, SM, and hate to think any words here might have disturbed your sleep. Can I have a point for refraining from writing last night, thinking I wanted to support your zeds? ;) So... I was a bit puzzled as to why people thought I was responding negatively. I thought, oh...

    3rd Assessment (5-4)

What are you disappointed in exactly Brian? And are you sure you're not angry about something? Phrases like "I'll keep things simple for you next time" give me reason to doubt. Do you see how that might be construed as 'passive aggressive'?

    Ideal distance from play

Sorry; let me clarify. I was thinking more about when they pass it at you, not away from you.

    3rd Assessment (5-4)

Number one, I'm pretty sure I said "fairly flawless"; and number two, I'm pretty sure that was in reference to the game, not the assessment (hence the word "game"). What's your bee, Brian? As in bonnet. Talking about tabs and formatting...there's a whiff of repressed anger in this. But we're...

    3rd Assessment (5-4)

79? I want your assessors! Ones round here aren't allowed to go anywhere near that. I bet if they went above 76 they'd get marked down.

    Ideal distance from play

None of this seems to take into account that the ball is constantly moving! And at grassroots level generally moving in unexpected ways. It's all very well saying be 15 yards away at such and such an angle - but what happens when they pass it (or attempt to pass it)?

Yes! Mignolet gets nailed for >6 seconds. :-)

I love it when players start pointing out a keeper who they think is holding the ball too long - the speed at which they count! Counting to six isn't the same as counting to six seconds. ;)

    3rd Assessment (5-4)

Won't play the numbers guessing game this time, just posting for information in the hope there's something useful in there for someone. Was a 74 and a fairly flawless game. I guess that's about the maximum they're giving round these parts. I won't mind that one bit if I get it every time...

Hertford Town v Barking - FA Vase

I just can't let this one go... So I downloaded the clip. Played it frame by frame. And what you see is: the ball changes direction when the defender gets there, just before it hits the line. If you pause it when the ball and the post are in line, you can still see 100% of the ball. And if you...

    Advantage - change of tack?

Wow. Just seen the one from the City-Southampton game. Timed it at just over 6 seconds between foul and whistle. 51:12 in the video.

    Advantage - change of tack?

@HoofItYouDonkey Was that your reason for not playing the advantage? Or was it talking your way out of possible grief?

Hertford Town v Barking - FA Vase

I just love the lino creeping towards the goal line trying to make out he was there all along - he must have been 15 yards behind play! :) We need @Mike to confirm it, eh? But I suspect he's tellin' porkies...

    Looks all right to me.

Yes! Mignolet gets nailed for >6 seconds. :-)

I regularly count 'em - on the TV; not in my games - at around 15. I guess that's where they draw the line. Here's a clip: https://twitter.com/ScoresVideo/status/669981264171180032

Hertford Town v Barking - FA Vase

Is that true? I gots the software - s'called 'The Pause Button' - and it right looks to me like the ball is in front of the post... Still, I suppose he knows best. ;) Maybe them particular boys in black'll get a bit closer to the action next time... You know, it's such a weird one I still...

    Advantage - change of tack?

Thanks for finding that. Looks like it's about 3.5-4 seconds to me. Quite a long one. Still, I can't say I find fault in it. I wouldn't want to make a habit of going beyond 2 or 3 seconds, but as a one off it doesn't seem too bad. Interesting that only one City player seems to not like it too.

    Advantage - change of tack?

I'd like to see that. Can you find it in the video please? Full match and highlights are available here: http://lasthighlight.com/video-manchester-city-vs-liverpool-highlights-full-match/ Post the minute and we can have a debate. :-)
