    Keeper has control or not?

    Mike Dean

Left the box after the two touches. Assistant told him through mic.

    What would you do when....

"Strikes or attempts to strike" Well played ref.

    Mike Dean

DID NOT leave the penalty area between the two touches. It's flicked his left foot and he's kicked it with his right. Retake is 100% correct and obvious, don't know what the debate is about? Commentators are right pissing me off atm!!

    Missing it way too much

Well I forgot that actually I was on the line last Saturday... didn't have a game Sunday as game was called due to one team not having enough.

    Missing it way too much

Not refereed now for almost 2 weeks and I miss it way too much. :( Don't know how I survived in off season (actually I do, organized games between mates and went and reffed them :D ). I'd literally ref every day if I could. Just enjoy it a lot. Was expecting a game tomorrow but don't have that...

Open Age A lot of confidence in me

See above post. :D To be fair although a bit disheartened at first I do completely understand. Raised my own eyebrows when I got the original email to say it was mine. Too right though, I've made... well, rather, the players and coaches I've refereed recently, have made Kent FA very wealthy...

    Hello From Drizzly Northampton!

Youth football or adult football, though? No offence whatsoever intended but if you're at adult football and you've given just 6 yellows in 50 matches I'd be seriously wondering how the f*** you manage that... I mean even at youth level that's pretty damn amazing

Open Age A lot of confidence in me

Lo and behold, kind of as expected, email from ref sec: "Due to the nature of the game and rivalry we've found another more experienced ref" Just looked and he's a 4. Kind of expected it to be honest :D kind of surprised they didn't throw assistants on this one too, they usually do with these...

    Remembrance Sunday

In that case I'm guessing there will be TV cameras there for the highlights show, best probably to step off the pitch in this case and return after the minutes silence.

    Champions League Referees

After reading this thread last night I actually went about watching YouTube clips on all of City's games (extended highlights) on YouTube late last night, just to have a look for myself. Have to mention that I hate City with a passion (almost as much as I hate United) but I can definitely...

Open Age A lot of confidence in me

17 Y/O, first season in OA, had 4 middles already resulting in 18 yellows and 3 reds. Been involved on the line in senior county level games too. Just been given a very late appointment for tomorrow afternoon, Division One (just below Premier) in the county league, massive local rivalry between...

    Hello From Drizzly Northampton!

    1. Don't bother. Really not needed probably until you're at 4. I know some 4s who don't have them. 2. Predominantly adult football I would assume but 2.5 cards/game isn't too bad of a rate. If you take my adult games alone this season, I've had 4 middles and issued 18 yellows and 3 reds.

    Remembrance Sunday

Not really seen it done at grassroots level, but when seen done on TV I've always seen the guy who lays in return to sideline and then come back to remove it afterwards. At grassroots level I would say lay it and stand on the circle, not with either team or the referee, but maybe directly...

    Remembrance Sunday

I know most refs would use common sense and do it anyway but weird to think that not one of the three leagues I ref for have sent out any guidance/reminders about the minutes' silence, especially considering on one of the leagues there's a heck of a lot of lvl 9s reffing.

    Worlds Campest Referee....

I can't stop watching this now... hahaha. The bit that gets me most is when he runs 50 yards to the corner flag, stops two yards away and signals a corner... my lord.

A new Addition to the HF Family!

Big congrats to you! What was her pregnancy craving... come home sunday with a sheepish look on your face holding *whatever her fav food in pregnancy was*. Things will be okay ;)

    Worlds Campest Referee....

Well... I've seen this before but it was a different clip and only had the bits where he was wearing the red kit... I wet myself but immediately dismissed it as fake... now seeing more clips obviously from different matches I'm questioning myself... but, it can't be real... can it?

    Problems with club assistant

Can't take a CARs word on the fact he'd been called a cheat... send the guy off and try putting that in your report. You'll be marched in front of county in a matter of days.

    Nasty Injuries....

When I was stewarding at a football club last year seen a lad break his leg... carried him off the pitch on a stretcher along with few other guys. Poor lad was in agony. As the ref, worst I've had was a 15 yr old lad who has taken a stud to the forehead. Pretty nasty gash and I thought they...
