Spot on, deliberate handball. This video (or one very similar) came up in our training course way back in 2012. Had the room divided but I backed the right approach. Same as if somebody throws something and it hits the ball, IE, throws a shinpad, boot, etc.

You could be even more evil, and before sending off guilty player, issue a yellow for USB, then a straight red for VC. Piles the fines onto him a bit more for being a cheeky mug ;)
