Sondico Flair - 100% Black - currently on sale at £14.50 at Sports Direct. I have a pair that I bought at the start of the season for £25.00 and they are comfortable.
I'm "other" - home team has to provide flags on the leagues that I do (although I do have a mid-range set for NARs or hiring out to teams that have forgotten to bring their own).

Although I'm not sure what force is considered...
Good spot by the ref (or more likely one of the rest of the team). I don't see how raking your studs down an opponents shin can be anything other than excessive force. In real time I thought the player had made a meal of it having just been clipped but the slo-mo showed otherwise.

Ran the line on a compacted 3G yesterday - today knees are in bits.
And just an extra note on Oiref's point - I often find 3Gs are quite narrow even if they are a fairly standard length. The pitch yesterday was only about 60 yards wide (so 8 yards from corner to edge of penalty box).
I'm largely with Padfoot on this one.
I think that we as referees are the only people that have authority over everyone involved in the game and thus have a responsibility matching that privilege. No-one else can hope to stop all players, coaches etc swearing on pitches beside residential...
