The only advise I'd give on this is to try when and only when you are ready, and aim to have a colleague with you. Balancing refereeing with life doesn't get easier, wife, 3 teenagers and animals, just remember that for all but a few it's a hobby that puts a bit of cash in your pocket.

How much to spend will depend partly on how much you've got to spend and what you want it for. Unless you are planning to live in the shirt pretty much any under shirt will work to keep your kit off of your back. UA have a huge range of gear depending on the weather etc.

Hate it personally. I'd quite happily allow the striker to wipe out the defender but obviously can't let that happen. As a rule of thumb I'm pretty much ok with upper body contact in this scenario but as soon as the striker gets his feet involved then blow for the FK. Obviously upper body...

As far as I'm aware the misconduct forms are still in operation. The FA has a few technical issues with most of its computerised systems. I wouldn't worry too much. Concentrate on the Laws of the Game and remembering your own name!!!

I had 23 and 2 dogs at my game.. Not sure that I can count the combine driver who was working in the field next to us as he only saw a few minutes.:)
