    What's missing from your kitbag?

Had a look at them on refsworld. I noticed for the 3 pack, you can add 270 AUD to get "Premium Quality Ear and Microphone", what is the difference between them, and the included "Boom Mic High quality noise reduction ,specifically configured for Refsworld"?

    Pen / card skins

Aha, our instructors here in Norway mention Ikea as a place for free pencils. However, I find that these free pencils are not of sufficient quality. They typically come in HB, which leaves a too faint mark on the skins. Then again, I am very particular about my equipment :-)

    Push occurring off the field

I actually discussed this with Halsey on twitter, and read the very paragraph you quoted here. I asked a senior assessor and leader of referees in Oslo about it, and he said that if he leaves the field of play as part of the play, it is a IFK at the position of the ball. YC if you deem it was...

    Pen / card skins

Yeah, I reuse them. Well I intend to, but I haven't worn out a pencil yet, and doubt I will before after a few more seasons. No idea what the Argos reference was supposed to mean ;-)

    Pen / card skins

For cleaning pen or sharpie, I bought these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/100x-70-Isopropyl-Alcohol-Swabs-Wipes-Tattoo-Piercing-/230820485153 you are pretty much set for life (or at least a few seasons). Small alcohol swabs, size of a postage stamp, individually wrapped. One is enough to wipe off...

Cardiff v Bournemouth - Disallowed Goal

Yikes, don't know what I was thinking ;-) Was on the tube on my way into work, typed it up on my phone. Of course it was in open play. And of course, the goal should have been allowed then.

Cardiff v Bournemouth - Disallowed Goal

The easiest way to disallow this, for me, would be to say that the ball never left the box, hence the ball was not in play. The player seem to stand on the line, so the entire ball can't have left the area. In that case, new goal kick for me.

    Pen / card skins

I use the refsworld pencil, as @Ross suggest, but only as backup. I find it a bit too small to grab in the heat of the moment. I have bought pencil clips like these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Twelve-Faultless-Pen-Pencil-Pocket-Clips-Dclips-/151571570958 I then buy a 4B pencil, saw off 5 cm and then...

    Pen / card skins

No pen will really work on these. A sharpie will, but not sure how that performs in the rain. A soft/bold (4B) pencil is the best for me. It leaves bold markings that are easy to read.

    Pen / card skins

I've tried the power tank, not a 100% solution for me. Doesn't always work. A 4B pencil is my preference

    Explaining CARs to non-uk ref

WOW! That wikipedia page explained SO much for an outsider! In Norway we have 9 levels in the league system and 6 referee levels (in Oslo at least) For the final question, how do the referee level map to the leagues?

    Explaining CARs to non-uk ref

Ok, so for my next question. What are the divsions/levels where you get NARs?

    Explaining CARs to non-uk ref

I am not suggesting they'd cheat, but when they want one team to win, it is difficult not to skew your view to benefit the one part. We get this as well don't we, when we watch our team play. It is easy to spot all the decisions that should go our way, not so easy the other way.

How do you remember to go back for a caution after playing advantage?

Never had a problem with this, but as a general rule I will shout his number "Number 11, booking next stop in play". That probably helps me, it is also a good way to let the rest of the players know I did see him and that he is not getting away with it.

    Explaining CARs to non-uk ref

I am asking these questions as a Norwegian referee, trying to understand what you deal with in England. So, there is a lot of talk about CARs on here, which I have understood to mean club assistant referee. Which, if I understand it correctly is basically a person who is supposed to help you...

Are you having a good game.......

No matter how good my game is, players will always find something to complain about. If nothing else, it is the amount of added time that wasn't sufficient.. :-P

    Matic red card

That would surprise me, with all this talk of "the campaign" against poor chelsea.

    Funny comeback remarks

LOL! HE, HE did! On another player! ;-)

    Matic red card

On what grounds? You can't appeal it on the grounds that "he deserved it"? If for some reason they have it overturned, at least we know that mourinho dark arts have worked.
