HOW TO GET A CUP FINAL

Just perform consistently well throughout the season. After so few games though, I wouldn't get your hopes up as you are still quite new to refereeing and still finding your feet, so to speak

    Tips on building confidence

Hi guys, I reffed a mix of adult and youth football last season but dropped the adults due to low confidence. I love refereeing and want to progress so I was wondering if anyone on here had any advice to build more confidence?

    Getting reported

I submitted 2 reports. One about the supporters and one about the manager. He also claims that because I didn't give a free kick for what he thought was a dangerous tackle (I didn't see it personally as my view was obstructed by about 5 players due to it being from a corner which didn't beat...

    Getting reported

Hi guys, A manager for an U16s game I had at the weekend (whose team lost in ET in a KO cup and has been reported to County along with his spectators for using fould and abusive language towards a match official) has now given me a match rating of 5/100 and has reported me to County for...

    School games

Hi guys, I am on work placement at a school in PE and they have asked me to referee a sixth form game on Wednesday. I am more than happy to do so and I just wanted to check if there is a different way to approach this game or should I treat it the same as a normal Sunday game? I.e. Cards etc...

    Sock boots....

You can get them. It is designed to keep the boot secure and less likely to come loose or off altogether after a challenge or running a lot

Junior/Youth Player walking away when trying to caution him

You ask for the name, spelling if necessary. Then you put that name into the Whole Game system. If it is wrong, the club gets in trouble

Junior/Youth Player walking away when trying to caution him

In my U16 game, I was cautioning the Red 11 for dissent by action. When I asked his name he said it quickly amd began to walk off. He did this about 3 times. Eventually he gave in. My question is: Is this dissent by action and thus punishable by a caution which would have been his second?

    RC in a friendly

I understand Padder's argument. I have always been told that we are not supposed to be liked, but respected. The OP has made a decision that will increase the chance of them liking him. In future this will lead to some teams taking the piss and walking all over him. My advice - start with...

RC. Deliberate action. His own fault et cetera

    RC in a friendly

LOTG still apply in friendlies. I don't agree with the substitution replacing a red card. It is the player's fault he has committed a RC offence and so should be punished. The team will deal with him better if it negatively affects their performance becaus they are a man down

Surpisingly he did! I was shocked that a knuckle dragger like him had that in his vocabulary!
