    First adult middle tomorrow

Hi guys, I will be taking control of my first adult middle on the Essex and Suffolk Border League tomorrow. Bit nervous tbh. Any final tips before my game tomorrow? Thanks in advance.

    Hector Moreno tackle

It couldn't have been a clean tackle if it breaks the player's legs surely

Allocated to a match where you personally know players

I had a U17s cup final line last year. That would have been my age group and one of the teams had about 14 players who I knew from school, some from the age of about 4/5. Two of them are on the same college course as me. I had no problems at all during the match whatsoever with decisions. If...

    Hector Moreno tackle

Was ge trying to block it? Or was it a late challenge? I have seen a lot of those instances punished by cards. It has to be excessive as Shaw's leg was facing the wrong way in one of the pictures I saw

    Hector Moreno tackle

Even though I support the mighty United, I am not being biased in any way. It was a stonewall penalty for me. Moreno was reckless and must have used some force to injure Shaw so badly. If he had some referees I know, he could have been sent off for use of excessive force, which was a red card...

    U18 Premier League

Hopefully I will but the U16 team are actually very good.

    U18 Premier League

No I had a U14 middle and two U16 lines. Sorry for the confusion. The U18 games at Colchester are usually refereed by a L4 with L6 assistants

    U18 Premier League

I have had 1 middle and 1 line already at Colchester Academy, I have another line on Saturday. I think these games are given mainly to younger referees to aid their own development

    'Friendly'

That would be a lot better, he is saying he knows it is a friendly but he will apply the laws of the game correctly. This will tell the players to act as if it was a normal fixture and not for them to think he will be lenient with them just because it is a friendly

    'Friendly'

The match is still non-competitive. Pre-season is about match fitness, not performances. He may be covering himself for the possibility of not being able to restrain himself from sending people off. Normal FA rules still apply but there is nothing at stake in these matches.

    Non League Brawl..

If this happened in one of my games, I would be abandoning regardless of the time remaining in the match. IF it was just the first brawl, possibly continue, but after the second, no way will my match be continuing

Goalkeeper sent off for removing pitch invader from the field

There is an argument that this was a poor decision by the referee, but I can see why he has sent him off by the way he remove the fan. What are everyone's thoughts on this?

    New county

You would probably get middles on the Eastern Counties League. Might get Ryman Prem & North lines at places like Bury Town, Dereham and Chesunt. The odd Southern Prem lines at clubs including St Neots and Chesham. There will be plenty of opportunities for you

    Cards not allowed

The bloke said that their players won't get suspended at all.

    Cards not allowed

They also don't get suspended. So, if a player gives another player a smack on the nose, they won't be banned. That is wrong IMO

    Cards not allowed

U14. I understand that completely, just don't agree with the methods. They will be seeing me a bit through the Referee Academy.

    Cards not allowed

Well, the rules are stupid. They will learn better from missing games rather than a slap on the wrist
