Very poor flag by the assistant, he's got nowhere near the ball let alone played it. There are clearly 2 people running who have a chance of getting to the ball. One who is offside and one who isn't. You have to delay the flag in this instance. Perhaps the assistant wanted a rest ?

It is one of those situations that we can't really comment on without being there and only getting one side of the story. And as we know we all see what we want to see when it comes to our own kids !

As I have said before, when both sets of players spend the whole game play acting, trying to con the ref and trying to get each other booked or sent off, as happened all the way through last nights game, they can't complain if the ref gets one wrong ! Well said Mr Souness ...

No, that simply means that the goal keeper can't be cautioned for deliberate hand ball to break up an attack if he is within his area! If he knows the ball has been deliberately passed back by a team mate and he 'unsportingly' handles it he can be cautioned !

Actually he does but it is a technical offence not a penal offence. It is not an offence to pass the ball back to your keeper, the offence occurs when he handles it ! A yellow card for unsporting behaviour could still be applicable ! I would also be worried if 65% of our RA thought DOGSO-H !
