The referees are miked up. The Chelsea player looked as though he kicked out at the Saints player. Fine if the Saints player committed the first foul to play advantage, but the Chelsea player should have been red carded if he did kick out.

I think its easy to confuse losing concentration with the game getting more niggley as you get into the second half. I am always mindful about 'keeping a lid on it' as tempers get shorter. I tend to give far more fouls in the 2nd half than the 1st to make sure that happens.

Simple solution, a walk-in goal. If the team that scored don't allow them, shame on them and there is nothing the ref can do. I had one on Saturday, CAR's flag went up or offside, but the player was not interfering, no whistle from me, full-back caught the ball, free-kick, the other team score.
