I think there is a possible case for interfering with play, as if you watch the video as the ball approaches Rooney he does move his body in an attempt to stop the ball hitting him. If he doesn't move then ball could possibly hit him, so by his action of trying to move away from path of ball...

Nope, In my opinion there is no contact with the player and Clark's sole intent is playing the ball. Which he does. Where is the excessive force and endangerment given that there is no contact with the player?

That to me is a good solid tackle. Wheres the foul? From what I see Clark only makes contact with the ball there is no contact with the opposition player, unless it was netball lol

I think a caution is harsh for what is an indirect free kick offence but rules are rules
