    Player wearing a hair-band

Every match that you ignore the law and allow players to wear jewellery.......... is another match that another referee gets grief from those same players that you allowed to wear it!.. :/ There are laws or parts of law that some of us disagree with. But our role isn't to agree..... its to...

    Player wearing a hair-band

@Russell Jones ... no need for the name calling pal.... Just as we learn from each other on the fop, we should be doing so here too. Some things are all about angles and opinions and some things are law which we should all abide and apply. When you reach the next level or 2, you may see things...

    Checking Players......

I will leave you to it pal. Some people are beyond help and advice..... trouble is, those people tend to make life harder for others to do things properly!.... Good luck.

    Checking Players......

You need to explain more clearly mate. The people can learn from advice rather than sniping at one another.... Any caution would NOT be for wearing jewellery...... it would be for the dissent of not doing as the referee told them...

    6 games in a week!

In my opinion, so many games in a week doesnt help anyone. If anything, the bad habits will hinder your game... If you want to improve your game, stick to one, maybe 2 games per week and try to get quality games in rather than quantity. One way of doing this is to offer to be AR on the next...

    Checking Players......

@HullRef .... like I said..... any caution would be for the dissent....ie refusing to remove the jewellery or leave the field when told.. ;)

    Checking Players......

Yeah... That's fine.. a caution for dissent or similar is what it amounts to I think.

    Checking Players......

Agreed.... What caution code did you use?!..... wearing jewelry is not a cautionable offence. I have a zero tollerence approach to jewellery. No wedding rings, no charity bands.... no nothing.

    Watches / Boots

I just got new Nike Tiempo boots. Mi e have white instep and white nike swoosh but you can buy all black ones also...just out of interest....why do they need to be all black?... I use 2 watches. One is a bog standard Casio referees watch. It has features to count up and down and signal set...

    Policing Verbal Distractions

hey @Beezer .. no dramas mate. No need for apologies. Its all about angles and opinions mate. We learn from each others experiences as well as our own...

    Offside position

In my opinion... if a player is inside the goal and then comes back into the fop he has moved himself from the offside position in order to play the ball. Defenders sometimes jump off the fop or into the goal in order to leave a player offside.... obviously this would be a caution.

    Policing Verbal Distractions

@CapnBloodbeard and @Beezer yeah... I didn't say anything other than clearing up a point for people that needed it... a caution IS NOT always required for all IDFKs.. Obviously....in some cases a caution is mandatory... @Beezer you do NOT need to caution all stoppages for usb.

    Top 3 ignored laws

Correct..... but you ever tried to define the difference between a save and a parry?.... It would need to be extremely obvious for me to penalise this.... Some referees try to find fault when we should be trying to use common sense and manage the game....
  16. M

    Policing Verbal Distractions

Just to clear..... you do NOT need to caution when awarding an idfk all instances.
  17. M

    Offside position

    In that case.. offside.

    Policing Verbal Distractions

When you know its happening but are not sure who..... grip the captains immediately. Tell them to nip it in the bud and if it happens again... someone is getting a caution!... the captain if needs be.... This usually works... using captains is a good tool. I played an advantage for a bad foul...

    Offside position

Since you are only offside when you touch the ball after its passed by your team mate..... I don't get the question!......if the ball is on the line....why would he pass the ball?

Another Couple Of Randoms That I Dont Think Are In The Book

Some of the advice on here is slightly incorrect and a little confusing. In the first post of advice, mctavish, stated that you can shout 'mine' or 'leave it' whenever you like..... this is wrong! He also incorrectly stated that as long as you dont put someone off, its ok.... this is wrong...
