It's very simple, if the ball does not enter the goal, you award a penalty!

Defiantly, I played a similar one at the weekend, clear foul in the penalty area, the ball dropped to an attacking team mate, he had two attempts after the first shot was blocked but put away the rebound and I signalled the advantage!

The only time I have ever worn a tracksuit top to referee was in a U8's section of a tournament when it was absolutely p*ssing it down and I had to do about 15 consecutive games, but because it was U8's and the pitch was tiny all I could do was walk!

Having a joke around, you laugh it off and then the players respect you for it! If that is how referees would act in Scotland, I'd like to see how quickly match control would drop!

I wouldn't exactly call it humiliating, It's how you gain respect from players by not being up tight and portraying yourself as a control freak!
