    VAR allowable restart interventions

@es1 Should be clearer now. The answers are from IFAB.

    VAR allowable restart interventions

A goal was disallowed by VAR for 2) in the EPL back in August. My question " 1) A long attacking throw, attacker scores a header. The throw-in was improperly taken, eg one foot in the air. 2) Attacker less than 1 m from a 3 man wall when a free kick is taken. Goal is scored directly from the...

    Manager sent-off

Are managers allowed a view of the pitch if sent-off? Manager was sent-off, was then seen above the dug-outs communicating to the benches. Same Karl Henry who hired a QC to fight his charge at an u12s game

    Munster v Hertha

The screen failed with Simon Hooper last year. There is a backup screen on the floor that he looked at apparently. Not sure whether that would have it's own, dedicated, power source.

    Most red cards

They weren't shown on the pitch apparently. I'd be interested to see how the game resumed after this (if indeed it did) https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cly2ejpdp43o

    Leeds v Sunderland

@RustyRef True. Watching Serie A in the 1990s you'd see 5 players being bear hugged at every set piece. 'Theres a lot going on' used to be the excuse given, with VAR that's no longer there

SkySports reporting of the proposed new IFAB laws

You have to feel for the throw-in coaches. They'll have a really strong case at CAS 🤣🤣🤣

    Leeds v Sunderland

You can grab someone round the net and it's not even a foul but pulling their hair accidentally is a red card. Make it, make sense!

Can an AR help like this?

Did the lino flag? Referee has possibly smelt something is wrong with the reaction, and possibly been given a buzz from his assistant. Don't cover your mouth, never a good look.

SkySports reporting of the proposed new IFAB laws

Glad IFAB have taken some of my suggestions on board, just need to sort out the goalkeeper going down issue. Admittedly 5 seconds does seem short at grassroots, presumably brought in with only multi ball in mind. Let's see how it goes; there was a lot of moaning about the goalkeeper 8 second...

    Juve Vs Galatasary

He moves his right leg out to widen his base so he can land safely after being nudged off balance. If he drops straight down he'd likely do his own ankle.

    Forest v Liverpool

Less pitches running by this stage so it allows them squeak out full value from the £40 they pay for 8 hours.

Foul Throw – How strictly do you call it?

It's probably not a foul throw. His foot comes up, noticeably, after he's released it

    Tactical Injury Breaks

Players and coaches have started brazenly shouting hold your head.

    Livingstone Vs Rangers

Much made about whether it was inside or outside - no idea why - but it looks like DOGSO to me. Just about to shoot from 20-yards out. The goalkeeper isn't exactly filling the goal
  19. bester

    Tactical Injury Breaks

No, because the goalkeeper goes down instead which this won't touch IFAB 20 years behind again.

Level 4 to Level 3 Promotion / Assessment Days

@JamesL Assessment days are a way round the criteria. The 10 game sand 4 o s still applies for automatic promotions afaik which are few and far between now
