I see that the own goal by Schar at 12 minutes got changed to a McTominay goal, but I can't see the logic of that. McTominay's shot was on target, but was going to pass fairly close to the keeper, who might well have saved it. However, Schar's attempt to stop the ball with his foot massively...

Sorry, I don't have an answer for you, but I do have an observation: in some ways, the higher level reffing where they have VAR I would say is easier, since you have technology to help you out and you don't have to rely on people's honesty about situations. There is of course, lots of pressure...

Thanks for the clarification, JamesL. How stuff like that can ever be considered not abusive or insulting is beyond me. I get laddish humour when friends make insulting jokes to each other that they laugh off, but racism is a red line that should never be crossed.
