Paul Tierney has been appointed to Swansea vs. WBA. Is that the first time since the Select Group was created that a non SG official was appointed to referee a PL game? (odd considering Atkinson is fourth official).
The Diego Costa yellow card for simulation.
For me, it wasn't a dive, but it wasn't a penalty because he seemed to trip over the ball and land on Heaton.
Thoughts?
We're normally very good on the road - I was really annoyed to have missed it, first missed since March but I woke up at 6am to listen to the commentary in the US. Looking forward to Carlisle and Plymouth in the space of 8 days! The reason you had so many was because it was your first FL game in...
It sounds to me as though somebody who goes out looking for racism heard an innocent comment and sold it to the papers. The fact that no official complaint was made suggests that the comment was taken in the way it was intended (I.e. not racist) and Elleray has only apologised because it's less...
We've got three long away games in August - can't make Accrington on the opening day because I'm on holiday, but in the space of 8 days I'm doing the furthest north (Carlisle) and furthest south and furthest west (Plymouth). Probably about 26 hours on a coach in all - ouch!!

Has the defender's foot gone between the attacker's legs or to one side. The I cannot imagine a situation where the former occurs and it would not be a foul, but the latter should never be a foul merely because of the angle.
The ball was out of play when this incident happened, so as said above, free kick for the original foul is to be awarded. You can never reverse a free kick (it's not rugby!)
