    Tottenham Hotspur vs Man City

I must admit that if an AR is going to give GK encroachment I want them to be a good step off the line, something that is obvious to everybody watching. Like SL I won't take it away from ARs as they are part of my team and I want them to feel fully included. Removing something that Law says...

    Who supplies the flags?

He is proud of the fact his pre-match briefing for NARs is only 30 seconds long. "Everything in accordance with FA guidelines" is pretty much it.

    Who supplies the flags?

Most people have stated that he is correct in that the club should provide flags however WHY be reliant on someone else when it isn't necessary. He has been having a running battle with Bobby Madeley for several months over many things, initially after Bobby (amongst others) raised some...

    Shrewsbury vs Liverpool Black Kit

The referee may not be challenging the keeper but he may be in a position where he is in the ARs line of sight and they could get confused. However like others I agree clashing with the keeper is the best option when there is no alternative that doesn't clash with the outfield players.

    Who supplies the flags?

I have never been to a game without my flags, neither have I been to a game where the others in a team of 3 or 4 didn't have them. As Reuben keeps saying though, he does things his own way.

    Tottenham Hotspur vs Man City

'People' went mad when a penalty was retaken when a keeper was an inch off the line, nobody moaned if she was 2 feet off. GK encroachment doesn't seem to be looked at by the onfield officials (what else does the AR have to do?) and player encroachment is ignored by the onfield officials and...

    Who supplies the flags?

This is the reason Reuben gave for him not even owning a set of flags. He refuses to admit he should carry them and is adamant the delay is totally down to the club.

    Who supplies the flags?

One of the ARs didn't arrive for some reason

    Shrewsbury vs Liverpool Black Kit

I realise it is not carte blanche wear what you like situation, but it is an improvement imo.

    Tottenham Hotspur vs Man City

How many people feel that Michael Oliver's decision to award a handball against Glen Murray was a clear and obvious error? yet VAR undermined his authority by reversing his decision after far too long reviewing things.

    Shrewsbury vs Liverpool Black Kit

There are many Laws that PGMOL choose not to enforce

    Shrewsbury vs Liverpool Black Kit

I have been reliably informed today on Twitter that grassroots referees are now allowed to wear coloured shirts to avoid clashes

    Who supplies the flags?

Actually they did, they just refuse to carry flags, as it appears so do one of the ARs. The 3rd member of the team didn't even arrive.

    Who supplies the flags?

How many referees here deliberately turn up to a game without flags? I imagine that League rules state the home club should supply flags but is that something you would rely on, or do you take your own to a game anyway?

    Outjumping an opponent

Not just arms, you also get players who try to be clever by giving themselves a 'leg up' off the other players calf.

penalty encroachment in the football league

That doesn't help other ref's in the meantime

Agreed. No excuse for missing the corner though, it was a blatant deflection.

penalty encroachment in the football league

I have seen many penalties retaken due to encroachment when watching overseas games, so not everybody ignores it. I don't watch enough overseas games to say if anybody else does follow the same principal but if enough countries did then surely it would have been up for review by IFAB?

Missed a handball and corner early on but overall done ok imo.

penalty encroachment in the football league

That is how it is being applied by PGMOL but all that does is show, yet again, that Mike Riley thinks they are above the Laws. Why should Engligh professional referees pick and choose which Laws to apply?
