    Leisure leagues

I know someone who used to do the league by me and said it wasn't worth it. Constant fights and bad behaviour. Each league is different though, maybe go and watch a couple of games before you decide.

    One extra player

I thought this was a nationwide law as it's in the FA's mini-soccer and futsal Handbook, although it does call it "Optional" Powerplay law. It reads that the FA have approved the law (therefore no issue with insurance) for individual youth leagues to adopt if they wish.

    One extra player

FA introduced a "power play" rule for mini soccer (5v5 and 7v7), where if Team A is losing by 4 goals they can bring an extra player on and 5v5 becomes 6v5. If they concede another then 6v5 becomes 7v5. The numbers are evened back up if Team A scores and the deficit drops back below 5 / 4. I'm...

    Weymouth v Chesterfield

Can't say I agree, watched it several times and not sure if it's foul or not. I wouldn't be calling a foul off one view in normal time, looks firm but fair to me.

    Body Cam

Getting permission from players would be quite straight forward as they would sign something before the season starts and the way people are writing suggests they believe the whole game is going to be recorded. Surely you'd just turn it on if / when you felt the need!! There is an issue around...

    Burnley v man utd

I'm a Utd fan and can't see the issue with the offside being given, especially as we benefited from exactly the same against Villa. Teams deliberately line up to block the run of defenders and if it stops that from happening then surely it's a fairer game for all.

    Referee assualts

I definitely agree with the buddy. Just having someone there for the first couple of games will help settle any concerns you have and will provide those words of encouragement we all need to hear from time to time to help us get through a bad situation. Hope you're ok, sounds like you're doing...

    SE Dons matches

What he said, i'd rather stick pins in my eyes than ref this lot. It's not football, it's a pantomime.

Dutch Referee Blog - Week 11 Laws of the Game Quiz 2021-2022

Am I missing something in Q1? The ball is not in play as he's waiting to take a throw in, or have I got that wrong?

    Sweeper Keeper

How can it be a DOGSO when we witnessed a EPL striker miss from 7yrds with just a defender to beat? YC for me

Saturday games to ref in Birmingham

Midland Junior Premier league, you tend to get a higher standard of players from that on a Sunday.

Saturday games to ref in Birmingham

I'm in the same area and d o the MJPL on Saturday mornings. It's a good standard youth league (of all ages), they tend to be much better than the Sunday kids and on the whole the parents and coaches are really well behaved. The league pays well also, which is a nice little bonus.

    VAR

Nothing doing imo and I was a GK so fully signed up member of the GK's union.

    Coin

Although I think it would make the decision for deciding who has kicks a lot more interesting, a ref a couple of yrs ago got suspended for doing this at a WSL match.

    Referee Wallet

ReffStuff do a good one, but as above it's really wet (like yesterday) i opt for a write in the rain notebook with a Power tank pen or again ReffStuff do a pencil which will write in the wet and clips onto the pocket / notebook well.

"i'm not here to defend my actions, I can't, BUT......... ffs, don't say i'm not here to defend my actions, but!! IMO the statement is every bit as bad as the actual physical event, the scrote needs the book throwing at him if he thinks the way to cure his behaviour is to NOT shake the ref's...

    Youth football DOGSO

They're 11yr old children trying to enjoy the game!! i do lots of youth games and have never shown a card at that age group. Talk to them and educate, you're normally find that they are really apologetic and crestfallen that they've done something wrong. Why compound that and send an 11 yr old...
