Why? This died out decades ago in most grass roots leagues. When I dropped down to low level park football at the end of my playing days we'd often get some of the older refs come in for a pre match chat with the entire team, usually about language etc. Most didn't listen and almost al ignored...

I started at the same age. Well done, positivity is always a good thing (because there's olenty of negative stuff around when it comes to refereeing!). Same again next year.

Sounds grim. It's a 30 minute flight from Southampton (did it 2 weeks ago) and then according to Google maps it's a 12 min drive. Surely there's a opening for a level 4 to just do non dugout lines for a whole season ;)

Certainly not going to be OK with that. It would have to be immediately brought up with his manager regarding the suitability of this player continuing. If issues arise then its going to be reportable too but equally we have to take into account why and that the coach brought it up with everyone...

It looks bad re the GK encroachment. If the ref had stepped in after the first one and spoke to the keeper before the next one it may have prevented this. Assuming he hasn't spoken to the GKs, which is the absolute minimum reply with that amount of encroachment going on

Post covid it's extremely odd considering how short of ARs the leagues are at step 5/6 and middles at step 7. In my area there's emails coming out every other week looking for refs for step 7 middles

The PFA is a Union and only exists due to payments from players. There's no way they'll do anything that disadvantages players like call for measures which may effect their membership. Fines should be assessed on turnover, like the HSE does. 1% of turnover fine for any club who's player/manager...

On social media someone from the club said they were being observed. Not an easy conversation to have in the dressing room at full time.
