Has anyone ever had an experience where you don’t get any stick, or even appeals in a game?
I had one today and I found it actually really difficult to manage at times. Where no one was appealing for a foul or giving me any dissent at all following a decision I started to weirdly question if I...
You have to opt out via email for each closed date in our county. Then I have a system where I have to opt in another where I opt out all seems a bit too overcomplicated to me but all part of the fun I guess!
I’m not really into the whole pleasing people business - I just like refereeing. I haven’t turned it down - just like things to be fair for everyone. I’m not sure it’s a poor attitude asking if expenses are available
Hi all
I was appointed today to a county cup fixture which is a 70+ mile round trip.
Do I get to claim expenses?
Would I have any grounds to say I can’t make this due to the distance?
Thanks
But obviously if I have played advantage but then bought it back and given free kick, that negates the advantage and therefore red card? I pulled it back as I thought the shot was affected therefore no good advantage. So I should have gone red or not given the free kick but yellow as above.
Hi all
My game today.
Striker goes through with one defender, keeper cones running out .. defender trips attacked outside the penalty box but attacker stays on feet and gets shot away (probably not as good as he would have had he not been tripped)
I give free kick and went yellow after lots...
So essentially.. a bit like a deliberate backpass to the goalkeeper - it has to be 100% deliberate .. therefore, in a practical sense, go on the side of caution and in favour of the defending team when thinking about making these calls.
What if ball is travelling in air for 30/40 yards / goes up for header and ends up flicking it on when he meant to clear it but could only get a bit on it.
Or if he was challenged by an opponent that was onside.. would that be classed as not a deliberate act as he was under pressure?
Ball played into penalty area from a free kick about 40 yards out.
Player in offside position.
Defender jumps and goes to head it clear but mistimed it and it glances off and goes to attacker who scores. Given offside.
Correct? I can find the bit in the law which says it but can’t quite...
Some leagues will ask for score to be recorded and submitted even though they are not published or shared. I would keep a score as a good habit anyway.
Other than that any names of players that receive a card or misconduct (very rare). Enjoy!
Yes - so I think his point was on his head it was DOGSO therefore red if I thought he didn’t make a genuine attempt for ball or yellow if o thought he did. My point is I didn’t think it was DOGSO or reckless therefore no card
