    Correct.

"PL managers want VARs to be assigned to refereeing teams"

If Neville and Carragher are anything to go by, they wouldn't pass the fitness test to even get onto the field. Still, it would be quite fun to watch.

    DOGSO? BCFC V SWFC

That's not a consideration. The question to ask is "had the fouling defending been removed from the field of play, would the player who was fouled have had an OGSO?" In this case, I still argue the answer is "yes" because he has a clear shot on goal available to him, and about 8 yards of space...

    West Ham v Olympiacos

Once he signals for advantage, the new(ish) direction is that you do not pull it back. The signal indicates that the advantage is actualized, not that he's waiting to see if it will. So in this case, the problem is that the referee signaled advantage much too quickly instead of waiting to see if...

    COP v MUN

I agree that this is an issue; I would add a second issue, which is hesitation to use VAR leads to indecision at some times which leads to either (1) the VAR not intervening when they clearly should, or (2) the VAR check lasting a very long time because it begins with a "delay, delay, delay" and...

    Toulouse v Liverpool

It has to be clear and obvious because he obviously makes his body bigger by having his arms in that position, it obviously hits his arm, and the referee clearly missed it.

    Sin bin goal keeper?

Their distance is incriminating, imo. If you're near an incident and want to complain, then that is one thing; but if you're 60 yards away from it and complaining about a decision that I took from 15-20 yards, then I have no sympathy. We don't use sin bins here so I'd be booking for dissent in...

    Corruption

To be fair, unless Chelsea dramatically improve during the next week of training, that's not going to be a challenging clash, is it?

    Sin Bin yellow cards

Mate, you've picked the wrong part of football to be involved in. You should have gone down the administrator route and tried to get on a league or competition committee so you can write the rules instead of being a referee who is tasked with implementing them.

Jewellery - when did it change?

The only level at which it doesn't matter is no level at all. This exact attitude is why referees who are interested in doing their job properly get a hard time week in and week out. If not for your own pride, at least do it for your colleagues' sanity.

    Quick FKs

I agree, in general terms, that allowing the QFK might have been the correct decision; but in the interest of "safe" refereeing and not making things harder on yourself, I would never fault a referee (well, not never but rarely and dependent on the level of the competition) for taking control of...

Am I right to report to safeguarding

Just to piggy back on this: report it and if it's not reported to the right people, the people you report it to will help you get it into the right hands.

    Spurs vs Chelsea

To me, this (with my bolded addition) would have been the correct outcome given that Oliver didn't catch the simulation in real time. I would, of course, have preferred him to catch and call the simulation in real time and then the Romero situation would not have occurred. The Ugodie decision...

    Spurs vs Chelsea

Well now Romero's gone. Of course, I would say play should have been stopped prior to that incident to caution Sterling for simulation but hey ho.

    Spurs vs Chelsea

Romero should probably be off; Udogie's challenge looked like no contact.

Vancouver head coach veiled death threat against MLS official

I think, if you read what he said again, you'll find that he said if the referee came to harm, the police would probably look at him as a suspect because there's a motive. That's not a threat, necessarily, but it is a ridiculous thing to say.

    Corruption

There's no reason to fly them around. Move them to England if they're going to be Premier League referees. Let the PGMOL sign referees from all over and bring them to England. Let English referees sign professional contracts with other competitions as well.
