I’m fine, do I include what the ref saw and what I could see happening generally as I was too far to 100% say what happened with 1 part of the incident but what I thought I could see?

More than anything report writing and anything to include however @one has given some advice on that

As you said I made sure the ball started in the corner circle then focussed on the drop zone so I didn’t see any clear touch until the protests from the other team as there was no second played so i didn’t watch for that just waited for the corner to be taken turned around and saw him dribbling...

From what I saw he touched the ball down the walked away and about 20 seconds later a player walked other then just started dribbling with it and I blew for a retake

Hi everyone, I am doing an u13 district match Green vs Purple at AR, I have had a look but can’t work out how to get the ESFA national cup u13 on the WGS - does anyone know what to search or if it doesn’t go on the WGS?

Watching the incident at half time in the Liverpool game and they were told by the FA that they hadn’t issued any other instructions and that it’s always been allowed for the refs to look at the monitors - I don’t know why the refs would choose not to use VAR screens before if the FA was telling...

This is what my CFA sent(Birmingham) according to this you should be able to see all pitch markings and in regards to frozen pitches - it’s up to you to determine if it endangers the players safety or not

I know in my CFA that as soon as you turn 16 you can ref any age group but until 16 you have to do at least a year below so you shouldn’t have any problems

I wonder if it’s something refs at a high level are taught to do? Just a theory that they want to keep the game running as fluently as possible because the uncontested dropped ball is still unknown to lots of players and can cause a large disruption?

Seems unlikely he forgot the law considering this was the first thing he mentioned to me at my game the other day? Wonder if he got told to let it run as it didn’t actually interfere with play( I know that’s not the actual LOTG)

Yes - Marriner was very willing to give good advice I saw that and it’s terrible - I hope it gets returned

It was - he also made sure there was no pressure before KO because the manager pointed him out to me and I spoke to him and asked for any advice he could give and he was very encouraging and didn’t get involved which some might when they know they are much better than others

Just reffed an u13 game and it happened to be Andre Marriner’s sons game. Honestly a very nice guy and very encouraging for a new 14 year old ref. Shows that refs are actually human 😂
