    Belgium v England

From the 1st angle of that video it looks like he misses the ball but was actually a pretty good tackle and unfortunately it ended up in the back of the net else I’m not sure it would even have been discussed

    Belgium v England

1st angle is more similar to that of the refs POV looks a foul but second angle shows Rice kicked so I can see why he’s given it from his POV, personally I don’t think anything should’ve been given and am playing devils advocate to why it’s been given as a possibility of why it was given

    Belgium v England

Interesting one originally I thought 100% a foul but the replays look like rice was kicked, the main reason I think it may have been given was the height rices studs were up at. I’m sure there’ll be lots of different opinions about that one.

    EAS vs HAR

Eastleigh vs Hartlepool on BT 1 now the pitch conditions are absolutely farcical, ball doesn’t bounce or run, players can’t dribble and every time the ground if touched it comes up in lumps. Just gone into half time, as a ref at this level do you call the game off now for players safety?

Become a referee in age of 32.

On my course there was no physical exam and I doubt there is to be honest. Part of the standard course was practical - reffing scenarios like how to handle mass conf etc, card procedure and how to run the line. Nothing you need to worry about you’ll pick it up on the course and IRL watching an...

Become a referee in age of 32.

After finishing the basic course ( fully qualified and trainee level 9 games usually 5). Your tutor on your course should register you through the county and give you access to the WGS and then give you the contact for your ref secretary for your local league and you’ll normally need to fill out...

    Southampton v Newcastle

Good on him it’s nice for players to be honest I think that it could have been given lunging in like that is asking for it but with the original touch of the ball first and even though the studs were showing he avoided contact with the studs it would’ve been a harsh decisions but maybe defenders...

    Southampton v Newcastle

I think all honesty they didn’t give it because the reaction from the Southampton players was barely there and everyone originally thought it was a good tackle where the replays who it wasn’t but as St. John said has to be a penalty IMO can’t go in like that not expecting to give away a penalty

It was nice while it lasted...

I really hope so, it just worries me about Sunak extending the furlough scheme til March however I wonder if at the start of December hopefully the tier based system will come back and then the government will avoid the problems they had with Manchester last time and the reason he extended it is...

Same, we may be better prepared than last time but we were originally told 2 weeks which ended in 4 months so we could be waiting a long time.

    Mass Confrontation Approach

I was at an u16 which had a bad one with some quite serious accusations against other players luckily I wasn’t the ref I checked on him but he seemed ok just lots of things to fill out after 10 cards and an alleged discrimination incident that I won’t comment on as I am not meant to on this...

That pretty much confirms what we thought - as usual I doubt it’ll only last 28 days so see you guys after the new year probably.....

    Liv v WH

Also from them showing us the angles they showed, they didn’t show the one that looked like mane touched the ball, I’m not insinuating anything here but actually question, do the VAR team not have the same angles as the tv crew do?

    Bayer Leverkusen Red Card

I’d agree with yellow I don’t feel there was excessive force or that he endangered the opponents safety and as @Jtpetherick1 the players weren’t looking for it and the 4O or AR has influenced him and not many will like to see that given either because in the 21st minute that “wrong” decision has...

    New to the whistle

Follow the as said above however unfortunately sometimes you will get kids that do try and take lumps out of each other in 60 games of youth football ive given 3 cards - 1 at the weekend for a player booting the same player twice down the same wing after a warning not really trying to play the ball.

    GK scores

I remember Begovic’s goal in the prem and he didn’t celebrate either - I wonder if it’s something you don’t do as part of the “Goalkeepers Union” https://www.premierleague.com/video/single/128642
