Throw ins- how far can the player get?

Oh yes. Happens all the time. But it shows you're in control

    no card at all!

Because the ref let the game run and a goal was scored, I assume. I think I get your point, though. You see nasty tackles on the halfway line where the ref allows the advantage, then goes back to caution the defending player

    Arsenal v PSG

Exactly. Totally fell for that. If he's THAT injured he should have the medical team on and be told to leave the pitch

    Arsenal v PSG

I think Shearer made himself look stupid tbh. Always sees the players point of view, rather than accepting the LOTG. Suggesting the PSG player was right to chase the ref 20 yards down the pitch was embarrassing, and Clattenberg put him in his place lol

Spicy Local Derby, even at U13s

Sounds like you did a good job. Totally agree with your last point. Regarding poorly disciplined junior teams, they tend to be a carbon copy of their Manager/coaches

    BOU v MUN

It's not a Clear and Obvious error, so VAR shouldn't have got involved. It's ruining the game !

Throw ins- how far can the player get?

Oh yes. I usually stand in line with the thrower (unless it's near the corners) and say "in line with me, please". As I say, it's all about keeping control. The biggest problem again though, is the professional game. The kids I ref watch and copy the professionals creeping up the line and...

Throw ins- how far can the player get?

In my opinion, it's all about match control. I usually clamp down on the first TI that is taken from the incorrect place. Just a friendly "it went off back there, fella" when they are about to take it. I think it shows both teams at the outset that you're a ref that doesn't let things slide...

    Real v Arsenal

    Yep. Way too slow !

    Refereeing S.Housery

A game I was playing in (many moons ago), I let rip at the ref for an awful offside decision. He smiled, then replied..."fella ! I'm sorry, that may well have been a mistake. However, that's the only error i've made in this match, yet i've watched you smash 3 shots over the bar from inside the...

    everton v arsenal

...even when they're not fouled, they do several rolls, screaming in 'agony' and hold a body part for a prolonged period of time to ensure the referee knew they were definitely fouled and 'hurt' 🤔

    everton v arsenal

TBH, if the attackers didn't dive so much (in general) they'd probably get given a lot more of those decisions

    everton v arsenal

I'd say he had an obvious goalscoring opportunity. Saying that, I wonder why Lewis-Skelly didn't get a red for a DOGSO for the pen ?

    everton v arsenal

Aren't you then looking at potential DOGSO ?

    Welcome buddy !!

    Newcastle v Brighton

The only person to blame is the player, not the officials

    Newcastle v Brighton

They need to take their black and white striped hats off then. They would agree if it was done against one of their players

    Newcastle v Brighton

A push to a players face is violent conduct

    Newcastle v Brighton

Why overturn ? he shoved his face

    Crystal Palace vs Millwall

Exactly ! Well, might not have been previously, but he is that type of player now. As for the calls for him to be eligible for the Carling Cup Final (because it's a different competition), well that doesn't wash either. He knew what the suspension rule is and shouldn't have been so stupid
