    Luton vs Forest

Looked like the Luton defender deliberately played the ball to me. So not offside

    Cup Match

I had the same problem Saturday, mass confrontation at the end of the game from manager, sub, players and a spectator, questioning, quite aggressively, why I had allowed a perfectly good last minute equaliser. The lesson I learnt is to stop with the friendly warnings earlier in the game and next...

    Man City vs Arsenal

The inconsistency is why VAR chose not to send the ref to have a look at the Ederson challenge, but did the Silva one. Same frustration with Kane vs Robertson

    Man City vs Arsenal

I am fairly new to reffing, so would like other opions, but it’s a direct free kick/penalty if “impedes an opponent with contact” surely getting the ball here first, which is debatable here anyway, is irrelevant. Get this a lot on weekends, “I got the ball’, but it’s surely a foul if you take...

    Spurs vs Liverpool

Fair enough. Obviously it was more than a yellow, but didn’t hear if there was any response about why it wasn’t reviewed

    Spurs vs Liverpool

Can any explain why Kane’s challenge was not referred to the ref to go and have a look at the monitor?

Related to the game, do you think Lewandowski’s penalty should have been ruled out. Seems to me that he “feinting to kick the ball once the kicker has completed the run-up (feinting in the run-up is permitted); the referee cautions the kicker” What do people think, any examples of refs actually...

Game cancelled and not been told

Yes, happened to me this morning. Chatted with the groundsman who was there and he called the games off Saturday evening, but nobody bothered to tell the ref! Club will be dealt with and I will get half my fee apparently.

    Dangerous Play

Thanks for your feedback. Sort of decision that reading the laws doesn’t always prepare you for, as I justified it as , ‘anywhere else on the pitch that is a foul argument’ Maybe, there was contact, and I didn’t see it, as the defending team didn’t complain, or they didn’t know the laws! Next...

    Dangerous Play

First season reffing, and today I gave a penalty for playing in a dangerously manner. Defender had his boot as high as the players face, but the forward just pulled out, but did stop him heading the ball. Should I have awarded an indirect free-kick to the attacking team? Didn’t get anyone...

    Reds versus Blues

Micah Richards analysis after the game was also way over the top. Not sure pundits can be yellow carded!

    Reds versus Blues

Yes, I thought he gave the foul by Henderson. Maybe he should have animated that when making his decision.

    Reds versus Blues

In a game today I accidentally blocked a player attempting to make a tackle. I am guessing this is just bad luck and play continues?

    Reds versus Blues

Yes, need to see again slowly and you are probably right. But thought he had blown for the Henderson trip. Yes, let’s support refs at all levels. Intelligent debate of decisions is absolutely fine in my book

    Reds versus Blues

Surprised, by some of the anti-referee comments on here, on a refs forum! Genuine question, if Tierney thinks Henderson committed the first foul against Silva, then Milner’s fouls doesn’t count, unless it’s serious foul play.

    LUFC V LFC

Surely it’s a case of Serious foul play: ‘Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force or endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play’
