Goal scored with th last kick of the game - whistling

Was a fitting end to the game really for me! Everything I done wasnt quite as on point as I wanted it to be! Nothing major, just thinking I could have dealt with things slightly better at times.

Goal scored with th last kick of the game - whistling

I'm thinking i should have done that. I blew for the goal, the full time while they celebrated, I think it caused a bit of confusion.

Goal scored with th last kick of the game - whistling

What do you do? I had this at the weekend. Do you give the goal then blow up immediately for the final whistle, or would you let the game restart and play on for a few seconds then blow for full time?

    Gave my first penalty today

I was glad my first pen was so obvious. the heat was really bad. We played 30 mins each way as standard but stopped for a drinks break after 15 mins, I dunno who was happier me or the kids playing for the break! The pitch we played on was slap bang in the middle of the park, absolutely no shade...

Spurs v Arsenal - Van Der Vaart

First off I' ma spurs fan so will be horrendously bias. But his goal, handball or not. I'm almost tempted to say it was, but as its against Arsenal then nope fine goal. Secondly should he have been sent off, I see Wenger and Jack "I've got nothing better to do than sit on Twitter ALL DAY...

    Gave my first penalty today

Thanks ross. I'd been lucky that every game prior I felt really happy with my performance, but like everything we are going to have off days. I was just lucky that the match was a clean and even affair.

    Gave my first penalty today

Under 12's cup game, scramble in the box, shot goes towards go and hits the defenders hand. It was missed, but was my first pen I've given. Overall I didnt feel like I had a great game today, looking back my consistency could have been better. I think the heat didnt help, I didnt think it...

Everton v Liverpool - Rodwell sending off

its a shame he took that decision in the 23rd minute, it ruins a game. That said a red is a red. For me it wasnt even a foul. A derby game you expect it to be full bloodied. But whats the worst part for me is his position to the incident couldn't really have been any better.

Do we HAVE to wear boots with studs?

I was 99% sure that was the case but there was this small part in my mind telling me it had to be studs! Think I'll go with the astros tomorrow as I'm expecting the pitch to be pretty hard.

    Under 8's

I would say it will help with you confidence of being out there though. It'll also give you an idea of what being a ref is like. You wont have ANYTHING to deal with, but I think being in the middle in your blacks is always a useful experience. It helps gain confidence when dealing with managers...

Do we HAVE to wear boots with studs?

I know the place I'm refereeing at tomorrow is notorious for a fairly hard pitch and with the recent good weather I'm expecting it to be very hard. I'm just wondering do I have to wear boots with studs, or can I wear something like some astroturfs etc.

I've still havent given a card, but got to give my first telling off!!

it was a really fair game with both sets of lads playing with a smile on their face. He was the only one portesting. The thing going in his favour is he wasnt rasing his voice at any point, had he started to lose it any more i'd have got the card out for sure.

Six Red Cards one youth Match

I certainly wouldnt be telling kids to get their shorts off on the side of the pitch. I cant see any good coming if little Timmy goes home and tells his mum that the nasty referee asked him to take his shorts and under shorts off on the side of the pitch today! I can smell the petrol bomb his...

Six Red Cards one youth Match

unless of course he couldnt see it until the game started. Although thats pretty unlikely. Again I was told at youth level you tend to let a few things go rather than being super strict.

Six Red Cards one youth Match

Depending on the age of the kids I'd let it go. I mean you dont want a bunch of little kids freezing if the weather is bad.

    Intoxicated Player

Jimmy Greaves wouldn't have scored half the number of goals he did if that was true!

I've still havent given a card, but got to give my first telling off!!

yup I do, I think he was just getting caught up in the moment. I found out after the game it was his sons first game so might have had an effect.
