Sin Bins - are you finding they help?

I agree. This is another case of trying to find a new solution when the right solution has always been there. In the documentary Kill the Referee, Michel Platini speaks to some of the officials at the Euro 2008 tournament and says (I'm paraphrasing) that referees have all of the tools they need...

Absolutely agreed. The perfect application of "clear and obvious error" for this kind of situation.

    Giving players information.

I will say that I think shouting unnecessarily is a substitute for good, consistent and appropriate game management. If, within 15 minutes, the players have not already understood what is, in your opinion, acceptable or not it is likely that you are not being as consistent in your decision...

Advice on Misconduct Report for Match Adandonment

Something like "in the 33rd minute of the match, I showed a red card and sent off Mr. Bean, a member of the FC D*ckheads coaching staff. He refused to leave the field of play and its immediate surroinds and, in my opinion, adopted an aggressive posture towards me so I abandoned the match."...

    Sinbin then red.

Just food for thought: a coach or member if technical staff entering the field of play to confront a referee before, during, or after the match is a red card offense. This is what you should report the sending off as when you report sending the coach off, as opposed to OFFINABUS which is an...

    Dissent by word or action

The same people who complained about decisions not being correctly given ruining the game and now complain about VAR ruining the game also complain when referees have no personality and can't have fun but also complain when referees have personalities and fun. With some folks, you can't win for...

    Eric Dier

As Jose said: Dier behaved in a way that professionals cannot behave; but everyone would have done the same thing. I expect him to get a slap on the wrist from the FA and I do not expect the club to take any action against Dier.

They get confused, bless them, about persistent infringement. They have somehow come to believe that PI is a prerequisite for a booking.

Retrospectively thinking you may have made a big mistake after the game

The answer is that injuries don't ever warrant bookings; only misconduct warrants bookings.
