I'm all for it, but the cost of the stuff will most likely prohibit most using it. Unless it gets supplied by the competition (I suspect the PL and FL may bring it in fairly soon.) Your average L7-L3 isn't going to want to be spending £X per game on the stuff IMO
A friend has acquired some...
I'm glad that there is now definitive and crystal clear instructions on this. Whenever I've run the line the referees pre match brief has always included how to 'give' a penalty. Some want the flag across the chest, some want the flag up and a big step right, some want something else. Now we...
IMO he one of the best in Europe at the moment. I would like to see him follow in HW's footsteps and do both the CL and WC finals in the same year. However I think they will give it to a non European ref this time around (providing there are any left that haven't made big errors)
Ahhhh, the Dripping Pan. Lovely little ground and the only football venue I've paid to enter, then slept through all 90 minutes of the game.
Congrats on the appointment and enjoy the game.
Who cares!
My (Conf South) team got relegated on Saturday, by an 88th minute penalty
FWIW I hope Sutton go up, they were the best team I saw in the two games I saw of them
Looks very slick and when its all up and working properly I'm sure it'll be great. It has just pissed me off though, went to re-register for next season, got all the way through to final payment page where it crashed out. Sod it, I'll try again another day!
I've got the 610 and it's brilliant. Overlay on Google maps is great as are all the other features. The touch screen is a bit fiddly at times but I've customised it to show the big 4 details that I'm interested in. Looking at my stats I'm doing about 4.5-5 miles per game.
Chin up and forget it. You did your job, how the players chose to play the game is not your problem. Enjoy the beer and get out next game and enjoy that!
One for tomorrow morning upon receiving any complaints: "see that yesterday, even the best **** it up from time to time" :)
I guess that Gibbs will have his red rescinded, but will Ox-C be given one retrospectively?
Very same question was asked at our promotion evening a few weeks ago.
Answer was categorical no they don't count for us. Reason was (I think, from memory) all promotion games have to be as part of an officially recognised league or cup.
Got a very similar email from my league regarding double headers. On red cards in game one they have said:
"If a player gets red carded in game number one, he can play in the second game but I would suggest if it’s for violent conduct you don’t play him purely as its saves any additional...
That sounds like a very good idea from your county.
I've sent off my application today, 7-6 the same as many of you on here. Heres hoping the weather improves in March and we can start getting some games in.
Finally got my first (proper) game of the year in today. Had it moved onto a 4G pitch as both teams pitches were unplayable but it was a very good game in beautiful sunshine.
