Hi everyone, I have only ever linesmanned at school before so haven’t had a proper scheduled game. On Saturday I am am NAR for an u13 ESFA u13 fixture, what should I do before the game. E.g when to turn up, what to say to the ref etc.. Appreciate all advice👍

Just put the yellow through and take no further action - I had this a couple of weeks ago and I think they say it in the heat of the moment to try and get away with it but they’ll pay the fee and get on with it

I agree, I think as we are taught on the course, we need to help the spirit of the game and that it should be about giving them all a chance to play football and start to learn that the refs decision is final and they can’t argue back like the players do when they watch their team in the premier...

Exactly, there are more spectators than there are at my u15 games and I was really surprised none of them stepped in and reminded them where they were and of their responsibilities

Honestly find reffing u14 matchs easier

I know, the worst thing is none o FB the parents took responsibility of taking the kids away

That was exactly the point I made to the managers about the example they were setting for the kids

Team A warned me about team B fouling and kicking with no intent to get the ball in U7s at the end of the game when teams were meant to shake hands team a called team bs manager a disgrace and I stepped in between the managers when I felt it was going to get heated and asked them to both leave...
