Forget VAR. How is the ref not calling the Robertson/Toney incident in the 1st place. How are they getting to that level and missing calls like that. I’m not a fan of either team but that’s shocking to let that go.

    Liverpool v Man U

Why won’t refs yellow card clear dives. Oliver has waved away Szob dive straight away. Get the card out.

    Liverpool v Man U

Salah offside in his own half, came back from offside and Oliver made UTd take FK back in their own half, from the point Salah came from.

    New v Ful

Totally agree. The FA/PL have now allowed every post game interview to just be about the refs performance. It has very little to do with the actually game

    New v Ful

Silva complaining at the ref team for awarding Jimenez a red card. The only complaint should be, how did the ref only award a yellow to begin with. If that’s not a clear red then what is. I can’t even understand what his challenge was supposed to be, apart from cleaning the player out.

    Luton vs Man City

I honestly just don’t get PL refs/var decisions. They’ll give penalties for things no one wants to see and 2 potential leg breakers today, they’ve given yellows.

    Luton vs Man City

He literally jumps up in the air and just lands on Foden. It’s impossible that you can say he makes any attempt on the ball with that action. It’s got to be a straight Red.

    Luton vs Man City

Can’t jump in like that. It’s a full 2 footed jump, not even a lunge

    Luton vs Man City

I meant surely it’s at least a yellow but not sure what ref gave but I’m surprised it didn’t tick the box for a Red. It was a shocking Challenge, just lucky he didn’t make more contact.

    Luton vs Man City

Never mind foul throw. How does the Luton player get away with that 2footed jump on Foden. A yellow at least ?

    Palace Vs Liverpool

Totally agree. I’ve no idea how a ref at this level is waving play on after the clear foul.

    Man City v Spurs

If you don’t want a player at that level, in that situation, to react to that shocker of a decision, then we need robots playing the game. You can’t argue that refs are just humans without the counter argument that players are also humans that have emotions. Don’t think anyone but Hooper can...

    Man City v Spurs

You can’t use that as an excuse for what the ref did. It feels like we’ve got to a position where refs can’t call out fellow refs when they’ve made shocking decisions. What if some of them just aren’t good enough for that level. We seem happy enough to say certain players aren’t at that level...

    Man City v Spurs

They’ve showed the replay on Sky. The advantage is clear and he only blows when Grealish receives the ball. If he has any defence at all and I don’t think he has, it’s that he thought Grealish was offside.

    Man City v Spurs

I try and back refs as much as possible but that decision absolutely stinks. These fellas are supposed to be elite level and refs we look at to learn but that was a shocking decision. Why is he even blowing for the offside, especially from his position on the field. Since when did a ref blow for...

    Man City v Spurs

    It’s a shocking decision

Yes I agree. VAR is saying, we think you might have missed something. So we’ve now got 3 of the best refs in the game all saying it’s a penalty. But I’ve not seen a single other fan. Ref. Pundit. Ex player. Even fans of other teams that think it’s a penalty. So something is drastically wrong.

I’ve just spoke to a PL ref mate, I asked, what are us Grassroots refs not getting and he said, no way it’s HB. So I think even I’ve got to the point of not understanding football anymore.
  19. T

    PAR NEW

But he doesn’t have to and shouldn’t. He knows what HB is. VAR have just said, you might want to take a 2nd look in case you missed something. He should go over, take a look and say, thanks fellas but I was correct first time.

Let’s not blame VAR for that decision. It was all on the ref. VAR just said, go take a look. He’s one of the best refs in the world and he says it’s a penalty, so are the rest of us wrong. How come non of us would give that. What are we missing.
