for a start yellow card any player that rolls back onto the pitch to stop play. Every injured player needs to leave the pitch asap and play continue. All treatment to be done off the pitch, unless neck, back injury etc.
The authorities do absolutely nothing about racism. It’s slogans and taglines and it’s all 🐃💩.. I mean look at a FIFA and the pathetic fines they hand out.
I always ref the same teams but try and use the teams colour or shirt numbers instead of names. But I do like the reply of, I’ve written it down a few times.
Offside for me is an easy decision. If it was a genuine deliberate play then the ball
Is clearing the stands from there. Gakpo incident - I can see why a red could have been given but think maybe the force wasn’t there. I will be asking the VAR Monday night what his thoughts were.
And that’s exactly how it will be with different people in different games. Fans Cant have it all ways. Scream when VaR gets involved and say we should go back to refs making decisions even if they get them wrong and then screaming when they don’t like a decision against their own team. It’s...
Fair enough. But easily missed depending on angle. VAR still wouldnt step in on this as force, contact. Player not off ground etc was low. Now if ref had given red then VaR again wouldn’t step in and this is difficult for fans to get their heads around.
Not enough in either for VAR to step in. Yes they look bad after but once ref gives yellow then with the low level of force etc VAR would not say it was C&O.
Was he Shirt pulled - No.
was it tugged - yes.
Did it stop him from making contact - absolutely not.
Was it embarrassing- absolutely yes.
I’ve not seen any footage showing even any contact but no way it’s a penalty.
Awful from the ref. How has someone at this level made some of these decisions. Not a single city player appealed for handball. How he’s yellow carded the Leipzig player for the ederson challenge is absolutely beyond me. Grealish is a stonewall dive, why isnt he carding him.
Just treat exactly the same as you normally would a 9v9.. seeing as coaches had already agreed it would be very unsporting of the coach to then go back on this and start putting extra player on if one of your scenarios arose.
Really interesting how the comments are split. . I think there’s a part of us that want to say goal, maybe the older ones among us but then a big part of us knowing the player just wiped out the keeper.
Be really interested in peoples takes on this goal. Im torn between good goal and cleaning out the keeper after ball contact. I think anywhere else on the pitch and it’s probably given as a FK but goal was allowed to stand
If the link doesn’t work it’s on bbcsport
Honestly don’t know how we’ve got a level 4 ref questioning any of them decisions. If we are wondering why ref abuse will never go away, there’s the answer and from someone that knows the laws better than most.
Absolutely ridiculous. Like something from a school. Showing adults a card to say they’ve done well or been helpful. Patronising, embarrassing. Childish.
Only in the professional game does every single kick or touch make a player go down. At grassroots a player tries there absolute hardest to stay up and play on regardless..
